Conservative Or Liberal - What Do You Think People Think Of? (1 Viewer)

That’s interesting as I’m registered as a Democrat don’t agree with the bolded at all.
Stealthycat, if it turns out that most Democrats would disagree with a decent portion of your assertion about what Democrats want, would it come as a surprise to you?

Owing to our own biases, it’s actually quite difficult to describe our opponents’ views in terms they’d agree with. But it’s a habit well worth striving for, IMO. Not just because it’s fair, but also because it makes our arguments a lot more persuasive.

then you're not holding true to Democrat core values i don't think

It’s a spectrum, there’s no question there are people at each end but the majority of us are a mixture of both conservative and liberal
true but when it comes down to it - there are certain core values that separate and you've gotta choose and the biggest ones that separate right now (in part) are the issues on abortion, guns, border control, taxation, movements towards total Govt control aka Ocasio-Cortez's socialism views etc

Democrats are on one side, Republicans on the other ( aka liberals / conservative )

I don't know how much we can really separate economics with DNC/GOP ... they both vote to spend massive amounts of money the USA doesn't have

I can't remember the last time a core tenant of any candidate's platform was abortion or guns.  I do remember both parties having candidates who had border control as an issue, but the differences were in how to accomplish it, just like now.  The question isn't "should we" it's "how should we".  I always laugh when it's asserted that "party X isn't in favor of y" and then then the person making said assertion also posts clips of party X being in favor of y as an attempt at hypocrisy.  Look at border control.  How many times have we seen GOP apologists and Trump supporters post speeches from Clinton and Obummer acknowledging the need for border security?  :lmao:
