I have Considine in a zealots league and believe I will outright cut him as opposed to placing him on IR. His numbers before going on IR were nothing great so I do not see enough potential there to justify keeping him.
The Eagles wanted to see what they had in Considine. Here's what they have.
A player who can't cover any better than Michael Lewis and is less athletic. Considine was burned repeatedly, particularly in the redzone, where he's got an extra defender in the boundary lines.
A player who didn't support the run as well as Lewis. Considine was run over as often as Matt McCoy at times. Gaining 15 pounds didn't solve his durability and physicality issues.
Nice depth/role player -- see Kevin Kaesviharn -- but not an every down NFL defender. I'm with Pasquino here. Mikell was slightly miscast as a FS and may also struggle in coverage when matched up in man against better TEs but he'll provide much of what Michael Lewis was able to -- physical run support and presence over the middle with some pass rush capability where asked.
