I think the SP can afford to host one master WDIS thread for some tough playoff lineup decisions.

What do ya got?

Pick a rb .5 ppr

Rainey vs sf

Or

P. Thomas @ stl

Or

Ball vs sd

Pick a qb

Rivers @ den

Or

Luck vs hou
Rainey - just bc I know you want to hear it :)

I own Rivers and am not in love like everyone else, but unfortunately have to trust him more than Luck - Luck did have a great game against them last time and has historically played better home...

I have one free agent pickup left this year... Have the Patriots and Bengals for defense rostered - Should I use my last pickup on Todman who looks to carry the load against Buffalo or waiver wire defense... Choices are down to Jax (I've got a feeling, they have been decent and Buff has been getting worse), Atlanta, Det, or Chicago?

Lacy owner who lost out on Starks on our waiver wire last night. Have to fill a flex spot and a RB spot if Lacy doesn't play. So, please pick 1 for flex:

Ball vs SD

Thomas vs NE

Brown vs HOU

Thomas @ STL

Garcon @ ATL

Floyd @ TEN

Please pick 1 in case Lacy doesn't go on Sunday:

Ball vs SD

Thomas vs NE

Brown vs HOU

Thomas @ STL

I can also grab Todman off the waiver wire - he's available. TIA!

If you need a RB then Todman. If you dont I like the DET D. I picked them up to play next week at home vs NYG. Id even play them this week vs BAL if i didnt already have CAR. Two home games in a screaming dome with the playoffs on the line vs 2 questionable offenses - I have a feeling they will shut down the BAL running and force Flacco into some TO's. And the game vs Eli in week 16 with perhaps the Lion's season on the line is just too good to pass up. Good luck!

1pt ppr

RB2

Rice @ Det, Starks @ Dal, Donald Brown vs Hou, Matthews @ Den or Todman vs Buf? Have D. Brown penciled in right now.

Def

Philly vs Min or Lions vs Bal

Agree with you on the lions. Do you like them more than phili this week? I own them both

I have both the Lions and PHI in another league and have PHI in now. Might change it later - they're very close.

Also like Detroit. Mjd may still play. ..

I'd be very happy having Detroit for next week vs. NYG.

Jordan Todman vs the Bills or Rashad Jennings vs the Chiefs?

Steve Smith against the awful Jets defense or Darick Rogers?

I could also use Todman AND Jennings and neither WR. PPR league.

OK. I'll bite.

Keenan Allen

or

Eddie Lacy/James Starks
If you've got both Lacy and Starks and are considering a Flex, I'd hold out for Sunday.

Your only risk is if they declare Lacy active and he tweaks his ankle early.

My only lineup dilemma in my primary cash league this week (where I'm a significant underdog as of right now) is that I am positively terrified about starting Vincent Jackson with a wonky hamstring against a stout 49ers defense. He hasn't shown up for any game this year against a half-decent defense with the possible exception of the Saints and has only caught 8 balls over the past 3 weeks. Glennon simply hasn't been throwing it much at all (9 completions last week in a GOOD matchup) and has been woefully inaccurate when he does.

Am I crazy to think about benching VJax in favor of someone like a Marlon Brown on Monday night?

Would love an opinon on this melange of RB's, need to start 2:

Gio Bernard @ Steelers

Ben Tate @ Colts

James Starks (assuming Lacy doesn't play) @ Cowboys

Other option is to pick one from the above and start either Bush or Bell Monday, scared though by either due to possible split workload.

Yeah, I'm essentially choosing between Allen and Lacy/Starks for a flex position. Normally, Vereen would occupy my flex, but he's done well enough to be considered my RB2 this week. I'm inclined to play if your way. It's greater reward but greater risk.

As for your dilemma, I think I would need a better option than Marlon Brown to consider benching VJax.

Danny Woodhead tonight at Denver or Andre Brown home for Seattle? Non-ppr, standard scoring.
oooh. THa's a toughie.

My gut says Woodhead.

For all the Lacy owners out there with that awesome juicy matchup, bad ankle, late start, special, my gut says he will play but I would almost have to go the safe routs and go with a 1pm or Thursday guy. I can probably talk myself down if I lose by starting a guy not on the injury report but will kick myself if I bypass a healthy guy and find out that my 4pm guy gets scratched or plays like 7 plays.

Man, what a dilemma. If its a perceived close game, I think you have to go safe route and just hope you compile th epoints. But, in your case, if you are a big time underdog, I might go with VJAX just because he is a game leveler and can put up a monster game and pull off the upset.

Gonna play riversAnybody starting ball? Kind of tempted over the options above...
I am starting montee. Its too risky for me to wait on gerhart or srarks. Ball has been doing okay the past few weeks. Here's to 40 yards rushing and a TD.

1 pt ppr

need 2 rb's

MJD/Todman v Bills--whoever starts could run all over Bills

Gio v Pitt--scored 2 td's last time against them

Tate v Colts--can he score and put up 80 yds rushing--Is Phillips a run first coach?

Jennings v KC--tough matchup but he has been matchup proof when paying

Could pick up Starks--he is out on the waiver wire.

need 1 wr

starting

Allen

White

do i go

Burleson--Cinncy gives it up to the #2 wr, but is he the #2?

Cruz--painful to watch him this yr. so much talent but Eli is killing him and playing Seattle

Rogers--could be boom or bust play

need 1 flex

could use either of these guys below or take one of the rb's from above.

tamme--taking over welker's slot role

walker v AZ--AZ is #32 against the TE

My playoff future is anyone who answers capable hands!

0.5 PPR. Looking to fill my flex.

J. Todman (if MJD sits) vs. Bills

D. Sproles vs. Rams

A. Sanders vs. Bills

J. Hunter vs. Cardinals

A. Holmes vs. Chiefs

My playoff match-up is relatively even. I do have Rivers, Allen and Green playing tonight. Depending on their performance in the Thursday night game, it will most likely play a part in who fills my flex spot.

Because Montee Ball's name just came up, I actually do have another WDIS dilemma (non-PPR)...

Need to start 2 of these 5 running backs...

- Montee Ball (more carries than either Spiller or FJax the past 2 weeks) vs. Chargers

- CJ Spiller (sucks on the road) @ Jaguars

- Fred Jackson (worse than Spiller since the bye; only 5 carries last week) @ Jaguars

- James Starks (may get all of the carries against the terrible Cowboys; McCarthy is optimistic about Lacy's chances to play)

- Joique Bell (may get all of the carries and some catches against the Ravens; viable safety net start in place of Starks even if Reggie Bush plays)

Bear in mind I'm currently a 14-16 point underdog; that will obviously change after tonight (I own Peyton; my opponent's starting Decker).

He also owns Lacy; I picked up Starks as a blocking move. His only fallback options in the event of Lacy not playing are Powell, Ingram, Greene and Pierce.

Both of the Bills are favored by the consensus experts ahead of Ball (I'm not exactly sure why). I initially planned on holding off on Ball and starting one of the Bills on Sunday and starting Bell in the event of Starks not working out if Lacy clears a game-time decision. But now I'm thinking about starting Ball tonight and possibly not rolling with either of the Bills unless it's clear that both Lacy and Bush will play before the 1 o'clock games. Suggestions?

I need to fill my TE and WR/TE spots. Just lost Gronk, ugh. I need to start two of these guys (at least one TE):

Jason Witten

Coby Fleener

Kendall Wright

Da'Rick Rogers

All the mainstream sites seem to say I should go Witten and Wright. Both guys worry me. Witten has been invisible in so many games this year, both in terms of catches and actual targets. Fleener has at least been getting lots of targets, he just hasn't done a ton with them. Then you have Wright, who was automatic 8-10 points before his dud last week. Supposedly he's gonna be playing banged up and may face a lot of coverage from Patrick Peterson.

So, just how risky would Fleener + Rogers be? Seems to me Luck has to throw to someone, and if I start both of these guys I should hopefully be locked in for at least 6-10 points, right?

I'll bite...

Non PPR. One out of:

Zac Stacy (vs. NO; 13th against the pass)

Ray Rice (@DET; 8th against the rush)

Rashad Jennings (vs. KC; 11th against the rush)

Bowe (@OAK; 25th against the pass)

Vernon Davis (@TBB; 16th against the pass)

Right now Stacy is in my lineup.

I have exactly the same choice -- leaning toward Brown because he's been more stable. I guess if you needed upside, Woodhead would be the better choice (I'm probably favored, so I don't have to reach).

By the way, paint or bra? Inquiring minds want to know!

I am thinking of benching Vjax for Edelman in a PPR, but don't think i would go Marlon brown.

Thanks for the advice. I know Marlon Brown is about as long as long shots get. He literally is the best option available, though (this is a 16-team league).

It's hard to fathom a scenario where VJax does well this week. Not only do we have his hammy, Glennon's lack of passing and VJax's consistency at crumbling against most quality defenses... but we also have the 49ers themselves playing incredibly tough against the pass. Only 3 guys have done well against them all season. Fitz in Week 6 when Palmer threw it 41 times (Glennon will probably have half as many attempts) and the Packers heavy hitters (Cobb, Nelson) in Week 1 (and Glennon is no Aaron Rodgers). Which means the best I can hope for out of VJax is him hitting his projection whereas I can easily envision scenarios where Marlon Brown goes off against the Lions on Monday night football (in a dome, the Ravens will likely be behind and leaning on the pass, in prime time, lots of guys go off on them, etc.)

I'm up against a team with great matchups everywhere - Newton against the Jets, DJax against the Vikes, Charles against the Raiders, Panthers D against the Jets, Decker against the Chargers, Lacy (if he starts) against the Cowboys - the prospect of underperforming anywhere in my lineup is something I feel I have to avoid. And I can't fathom VJax NOT underperforming.

PPR - Receptions = 2pts

Woodhead or Reggie Bush?

Bush is projected about 3 pts more, but I barely survived his 0 last week.

Thanks - leaning Brown for that same reason. I'm feel like my team is clearly better this week, so am thinking stability over upside. I'll bench one of my "steady" WRs for Cordarelle if I feel like I need an upside play on Sunday.

Paint and a tube top type thing. :-)
