Cooper for Keenan and Howard (1 Viewer)

10 team PPR. QB and OP slot. 3wr, 2 Rb, rb/wr, TE.

My team:

Qbs: Rodgers, BB, Mariota (we can only have 3...its stupid)

Rbs: Ware, Crowell, Martin, Woodhead, Kamara, Forte, Dorsett, Carroo

Wrs: OBJ, Evans, Cooper, Fitz, Mike Williams, Treadwell, Juju, Reynolds, C. Michael, Gallman

TEs: Rudolph, Njoku, Pitta, Allen

Looking to improve my Rbs. Have a guy who has Zeke, David Johnson and Jordan Howard and but doesn't have the best wrs. Was thinking of offering Cooper and a wr (May Be Fitz or someone young like Treadwell or juju) for Keenan Allen and Jordan Howard.

My head feels like this is a no-brainer but I'm worried about Keenan Allen never being healthy, Jordan Howard being on a bad bears team and the potential for a big 3rd year from Cooper.

Thoughts?

Honestly, I think you'd be overpaying. I share similar concerns about Allen, and while I like Howard, I think Cooper is only scratching the surface of how good he can be. If he jumped up to 1500-13 it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Between him, Beckham and Evans, you arguably have the best possible WR group in football going forward. I'd hate to break that up just because you could use another RB. You could be relying on that trio for the next 5-6 years.

I like Crowell, and think between Ware, Woodhead and Martin you can patch for now, until Kamara gets going.

If you really feel the need for a RB, maybe see what Mike Williams and Doug Martin can get you?

Thanks Trav! Actually exactly what I wanted to hear because I'm a big Alabama fan so I'd love to keep Cooper and really like my trio.

I've been thinking about shopping mike williams and Treadwell. Can't decide which one I like more going forward. Williams will have more competition and is already hurt but in a better Offense. Treadwell less (but still some with floyd now in the mix) competition in a worse offense with a non-existent rookie season but apparently having a good offseason.

I am not as high on Cooper as most so I don't think there is a much drop off between him and Allen.  Allen's injuries have been somewhat fluky (lacerated kidney, ACL) so it isn't likely to recur.  I am not as worried as you about him being re-injured.  I would be more worried about the ACL zapping his quickness in and out of breaks.

That being said, I think the trade is reasonable however the perceived value of Cooper in dynasty circles is so high you would be selling low.  I think you could get more for him.

On the surface, it seems like a fair offer.  But IMO, I want the player that could be an elite player in the future....and that player is Cooper.  Allen is really good, but he's injury prone, Hunter Henry is ready to emerge as a stud TE, the Chargers added Mike Williams in the 1st round, plus Phillip Rivers is on his last legs.  Howard is solid but the Bears are going to be pretty bad on offense this year and who knows what will happen when Trubisky takes over.

Too many things need to go right for this deal to be good for you.  Pass on the deal.

The trade is fair value, however, I think your RBs are serviceable.  Don't break up that WR group.  As previously stated they will be your core for years and a very solid one at that.

Are Dorsett, Gallman, Carroo, and C Michael in the right categories?

Also, don't trade Cooper for Allen and Howard.

Try and trade some of your scraps for Hyde. He's a solid RB who everyone is overlooking right now.

"steelers1080" is at the top of his game, catching the two pairs of players listed in the incorrect positional categories. That's the type of attention that characterizes "WINNERS".
