Greetings,

Looks like I'll get the chance to bring the family to watch a game here (no MLB here, so this will be a treat).  Looking on Ticketmaster there are about 25 categories of tickets (yeesh - way too many to figure out quickly).  For folks that go to games here are there any sweet spots on price/experience I should be aware of before I throw down money?  I'll have a couple kids with me (youngest is 10), so mostly want them to have a good time.

I liked the first base line press box level.  Section 223 is where I sat last time.  I like press box level.

I like the club level but it depends on what you like. The club level is less crowded and has better access to bathrooms, etc.
I'm a babe in the woods here.  In fact, now that I think about it I have never been to a MLB game.  We don't have any teams around here.  Basically I want to pay the least possible to have the kids be able to watch and have a great time. Appreciate the response, though.  Gives me something to look at.

I'd probably buy left field pavillion seats in your situation. Good views of the action with occasional HR balls flying at you. Easy access to the pavillion restaurants. Less expensive than the IF/OF box seats.

You will get hammered by the sun though so bring sun screen if you do a day game.

Looked at these options and ended up in the middle of your suggestions - since I'm looking for end of June lots of tickets available.  Got some lower reserved outfield seats that are next to the infield seats and about as low as those seats go.  Pretty close, not expensive ($20).   Thanks for the suggestions - they really did help.

Last question - evidently this is bike lock game day.  How early do you think we have to arrive to be inside the first 10k people and get locks?

I'm not sure on that one. I usually try to get to games about 45 minutes early and usually get whatever giveaways are going on but it probably depends on how many people are there. Weekend series against big market teams usually draw 40,000+ and you may need to get there earlier.

When are you going and what is game time? My choice would be 3rd base side - the sun as it sets for a 6:40/7 start is right in your eyes on 1st base side and as you get near the 21st of June it lasts a long time. Very uncomfortable. For an afternoon game 1st base is ok because you are in sun if the day is cool vs more shade in the upper rows of lower bowl on 3rd base. Remember sunscreen you will get baked and won't know it. Ballpark temperatures and low humidity at night are nearly perfect to watch a game - it's why people keep coming for one of the crappiest franchises in all of sports.

1st rows of 3rd deck are not bad between 1st to 3rd - and of course club level is even better but pricier. I'd look to buy club level cheap outside day of game vs paying full MSRP if you want that experience.

Outfield pavilion is OK for kids the playground and kids concession is out there- and really it's a fantastic ballpark for walking around on the first level. you can stop pretty much anywhere and watch the game for a half inning as you stroll around to see the playground or interactive areas or food courts.

Upper level on the party deck is a drunk fest - if you were single this is where you want to be - effed up chicks looking to hookup all over the place. You might catch a whiff or two of special party favors going on as well.

LoDo is very lively and a lot of fun pre and post game - honestly one of the best ballpark experiences in the country.

Only time I was there was in 2002. I've been to 30 different MLB parks, past and present, and Coors easily remains in my top five to this day.

I think this is my #2 ballpark on my list behind AT&T.  I have a good buddy in Denver too who is always inviting me, so it's my fault I haven't gone.  My only friend in Frisco is @Eephus , and I'm not rolling a wheelchair into the nosebleed seats.  No offense to any other gimps who post here.
