I gotta say, I am at the point of trying to buy everything from Costco. I dont even return my mattresses after 2 years.

I never do returns, but they are the best to deal with in regards to that.

Pretty sure they lose money on that awesome rotisserie chicken


That fruits and veggies pills they sell for $100/ month on TV. Like $20 at Costco

The quality / Value of their stuff is simply on another level. Factor in the return policy and it's tough to beat.

I love Costco, but Sam's Club is pretty, pretty good too (Costco 55/45 over Sam's, imo), but I must shout-out Sam's for the recent upgrades on their spice aisle - which they geniusly place at the beginning of my grocery journey. Scan-and-Go is pretty fine too.

Now, if I'm ever in the mood for something half as good at twice the price, there's a Kroger nearby.

they do, and its on purpose. They lose over $40m a year in revenue but that $40m returns untold revenue in getting people into the store and buying other, higher margin items. Why do you think the chickens are in the back of the store? (Almost) No one comes in and just buys rotisserie chicken. They come for the chicken, but leave with 10 other items.

The chicken is so valuable to them, that they invested $450m in their own chicken factory so as not to be 100% reliant of 3rd party farms and market fluctuation.

The one thing about Costco that is often overlooked is gas. The savings in gas alone is worth the membership. I would say, on average, it's .20 to .30 cheaper.
Times that by a 20 gallon tank and the dollars add up fast.

To me, everything else I buy at Costco is a bonus.

This is me, why I don't do executive but you do know you can just keep the Cashback, you don't need to spend it in Costco

2% on all coscto purchases
1% on everything else

This is money you are free to spend / deposit in your bank. I don't know the limit but I've got back over 1K since they switched from American Express

Now upgrading to executive $120
You get an additional 2% on Costco purchases.

That 2% reward is capped at 1K and sent to you and can only be used for Coscto purchases.

So if I had executive I would have received my 1300 cashback form the credit card.

And i would have received my executive 2% certificate to use in store.

Big fan of Costco. 2 teenagers and 3 adults living under the roof, so it is well worth having the Executive membership. We usually get $200+ back each year.
