Costco Love <3 (3 Viewers)

:lmao: didn't feel like leaving the house. I have to go on errands tomorrow so it might happen. I'll make sure to keep everyone updated

Never been in a costco and/or sam's. The ex went to Sam's when we had a membership and would buy a **** ton of stuff, and spend a **** ton of money. Now that its' just me and a son that is away at college, would it be worth looking into getting a Costco membership?
Probably not BUT -

I have the COstco Visa - I use this pretty exclusively and get back 1000-1400 bucks every year. THe costco membership fee is billed once a year to the card.

THe wife and I buy things maybe 2-3 times a year now. If we are having a party, bought a TV when needed. Maybe some vitamins.

So our purchases actually form Costco are low. Mostly online. I use them for Car rentals regularly though.

YMMV
jesus, what are you putting on the card to get that much back a year?

Found Hookers that take credit......

It's the only card I use. So in no particular order

Car Insurance
Tv/cable
Gas
Food
Starbucks/Wawa
Sirius
Dog plan
Golf membership
And anything and everything outside a few cash lunch spots

Couple hotel stays a year.

So the gas is 4% restaurants/travel 3% Costco 2% which we don't use much
Then 1% for everything else

So it adds up especially with car insurance and tv services on there monthly. Balance is probably around 3-5 each month pending on what's going on. We don't travel as much now so will probably come down

Lol.....if I spend 50k a year and avg the 2% equals 1k. So when you literally put everything on the card it's easy

I have a discover card and visa cards where I do the same thing. Discover always offers 5% on Dining, and the Visa offers 5% on groceries. Then there are 3% categories that change every quarter, and the rest is at 1%.

1st semester of son's college was paid for on Discover.............then the school must have gotten smart, started charging a 3% fee for using credit cards.

Just redeemed my $1224.11 total reward via direct deposit

Thanks Costco

ETA: Went over to get one of those cookies only to see that a Crumbl Cookie opened up in that shopping center (never been before). Went there got sidetracked never made it back :bag: :lmao:

It’s right on the check and or it was in an email. I think it’s a link to a Costco site and you put in the routing info and it shows up in a day or so.

Crumbl cookies suck. So overrated.
yeah - it was ok not overly impressed. It might be a nice stop on a rare occasion but I never been to one before but I'm not itching to go back any time soon

Only ones I like are the chocolate chip but it’s not worth the price. I haven’t seen the Costco one yet but I want to try it.

I'm still waiting for CostCo to make the Cherry Pies again. They used to have them around February-March but quit a couple years ago.
They are "plate Licking" good!

LA Fin

Taste the same as their package of chocolate chip cookies they sell in the bakery?
the packaged ones that come like 24 or something like that?

this was "heavier" and tastier!!!
Yup that’s the one. Good to know as their packaged ones are a favorite in my house.

:oldunsure: that isn’t all that much.
We got a new “default” card in November. It already has $600 cash back.
My wife opened a Marriott Visa card in December, already has 5 free nights and $100. Conservative estimate, we got about $4,000 back last year. We put almost everything except the mortgage on credit cards, running just over $100k last year (includes a bathroom remodel).

Also picked up a couple pair of no name performance shorts for $19 total.....

They feel like a golf short but have a elastic waist band / draw string

Are they hybrid shorts? I bought a pair of shorts that sound similar to yours and at some point I realized that they’re made both to be somewhat dressy looking shorts and swim shorts as well. Absolutely love them.

maybe FBGs really are the 1%

:bowtie: 5 kids, 2 in college, 3 teenagers, and a bathroom remodel will do that. (To be fair, our mortgage is less than $1150/month)

TO BE FAAAAIR

Think im going to grab a membership. Not entirely sure I’ll justify it but we’ll see. I had a friends and family membership before but used that o because no locations are that close to me

I do have a BJs membership through my mom we probably go a handful of times a year. Feel like I just buy a bunch of snacks and stuff though

I do know Costco is by far the best of all the club stores though.

So I see that option to direct deposit your citi rewards cert is only available when its over $300. I think this is the 1st year I've achieved that threshold. very convenient. more of an incentive to spend more.
