Saints | Team trades Watson for Moore

The Associated Press reports the New Orleans Saints have traded LB Courtney Watson to the Miami Dolphins for LB Eddie Moore.

Fincher moves up a spot ... Moore should compete at OLB.

Saints have now added:

DT Hollis Thomas

DE Rob Ninkovich

LB Anthony Simmons

LB Scott Fujita

LB Eddie Moore

DB Bryan Scott

DB Omar Stoutmire

DB Roman Harper

And tried like hell to get DB Keith Davis.

Out with the old, in with the new. None of those names are particularly sexy, but, sadly enough, they are expected to be upgrades over the old guard.

Vikings should make an offer for Watson. He seems like he is in a similar situation to Koren Robinson in Seattle. Maybe a change of scenery would do him good. I don’t know the circumstances leading up to his DUI charge but his prospect profile describes him as a player “with outstanding character, both on and off the field.”
