I just caught the afternoon session on Saturday and will be heading back today for the 2pm session and wanted to provide so observations...
Camp opened Friday and things were still moving slow... it's the last camp in Oxnard so the place was packed... I was lucky to get down to the field before the closed off that section off and made people wait in line to get back down if they wanted to leave the field.
Bledsoe looked good, only overthrew Owens on one pass.... Owens on the other hand was impressive... and I say this because it's practice and he seemed to be going after it... the other thing that was cool is he seemed to be getting along with the players and be in a good mood... I know, early in camp... he spent some time tossing the ball around with Sam Hurd, a Rookie WR out of N. Illinois...
Owens made some great catches... and this boy is still fast, its like he's born to run toward the endzone after catching the ball... After practice he was heading toward the crowd, and while Bledsoe made a right turn towards the VIP section and didn't hit the main crowd, even though everyone yelled for him... when TO's name was yelled, he got a big smile and came over and signed for the masses, then on his way in, saw a large group of kids and stopped to sign for them. It's early, but if TO can stay this way, he's going to be huge for Dallas and Bledsoe.
Glenn was Glenn... you could see that Bledsoe had confidence in him...
Terrance Cooper had stone hands... he may have dropped 3-4 balls... and thats just what I saw.
Patrick Crayton looked healthy.... and moved well.
Sean Ryan and Brett Pierce (TE's) seemed like huge targets and were catching everything.
They ran the passing drills to the RB's on the field next to me...
Julius Jones looked good.... both running the ball and catching the ball... I didn't see any drops...
Marion Barber looks fast in person... not sure how fast he really is, but he made some nice moves catching the ball. On play in particular, he made a great over the shoulder catch on a 15 yard out that was overthrown...
Tyson Thompson looked thrid string....
McBriar looked a little shaking punting early, but toward the end of practice, he boomed a couple of punts.... Mike Vanderjagt was catching the punts and he can catch... and was totally playing up to the crowd... he's happy in Dallas...
Also, Jerry Jones grandson "Shy" was with Mike "trying" to catch punts... he's a little guy and I was sure he was going to take one in the nose... he didn't catch anything but he did come over and play up the crowd and signed a BUNCH of autographs which has no fantasy bearing but was funny to watch...
I'll post more that I see today and will pay more attention to Defense also...
