roy williams has to get a big bump...he had some decent seasons in DET, never with a QB as good as romo, or TE as good as witten to draw coverage away...somewhere above PHI was mentioned as a possible destination, but that is hard to see...the potential fit in OAK too obvious to require elaboration...
Roy was supposed to get a big bump when he was drafted. Then he was supposed to get a big bump going into his 3rd year. Then he was supposed to get a big bump when Calvin joined Detroit as he'd see less coverage. Then he was supposed to get a big bump when joining Dallas bc of Romo and TO on the other sideNow he's supposed to get a big bump bc TO is gone and he's now the #1 despite having 1 good year out of 5.I'll pass.
1) was his QB in DET as good as romo2) how was their OL (relative to DAL)3) williams came to DAL in-season... not the case this year4) i was referring to a bump relative to... A- if TO was on the team still AND B - what he did last year (are you suggesting he will do the same or worse WITHOUT TO on the team, &/or compared to last year?* yes, he has disappointed & underwhelmed for much of his career, but he wasn't always positioned to suceed... in 2009, he should be positioned for one of his best seasons ever... if he fails again with so many things stacked in his favor, i will be the first to jump ship, but imo it would be terrible timing to do so now...
