Seems he was a bit loud near the receptionist who asked him to tone it down and calm down.

He came back all pissed off and started ranting about what she said to him. Finished it up with she's just a minimum wage earner and who does she think she is.

He was pretty vocal saying this. Our firm is pretty intolerant of this type of thing. When I told him to relax and he is being a bit over the top, he basically told me to back off.

This guy is quite the live wire. Had a go with somebody from Human Resources in a meeting with ca. 15 people in it. He told the HR guy that he was being unprofessional (he wasn't) and not doing his job.

Another of his infamous actions was describing some Korean guy he had dealt with. Arguing that Koreans' eyes are more closed than other asians. Went as far as to put his fingers on each side of his eyes and pulling his skin up to the outside. We all cringed on that on.

There was a black lady I used to work with, before I moved and started working from home. She was always really cool and funny, one of my favorite people in the office to chat with. I wish I was in the office when this happened -- apparently she was having an affair with a guy in the building (both of them married), and he comes down to her floor to have a conversation. Suddenly they get into a huge altercation which becomes physical and she's calling him a weak-### mother####er and throwing big 3-ring binders at him. :lmao:

It was so out of character for her and people who were there said it was the most surreal and hilarious thing they had ever seen.

Forgot about your co-worker. I think the real problem is you using ca. in a sentence. Let's discuss that more. Using that seems wildly out of character for, well, EVERYONE.

Only black people throw 3-ring binders.

I was wondering what California 15 was....

well then we wouldve known she was black

Did you defend your honor when he told you to back off?

Or did you take it like a chump and start quivering your lips?

By mentioning she was black, it reinforces the "3 ring binder" stereotype.

How old is said gentleman?
He's late 50s.

I have another co-worker who loves to rile people up. He got the other guy defending himself, but keeping up the vitriol on the woman just being a sec'y and the audacity of her to put him in his place.

It makes the story 50% more sassy.

Guess I'm an old dog. I use it all the time. For ex: Jane was incensed that James told her he would give her 9 inches and make it hurt. She finally figured out after he had slapped her face and did her 3 times that he was only ca. 3 inches.

You were married to Jane?

We History majors know that "ca." is a perfectly acceptable abbreviation for "circa".

Yet I'm almost positive it should be used only for dates/times and not amounts.

So is he there today?
Yes. The riling I referred to previously happened this morning. Things seem to have calmed down. He's only brought it up once since earlier this morn.
