Crabtree Ranking this Week (1 Viewer)

Wow, was blown away when I saw Crabtree's ranking this week (basically low-level WR1). I'm personally not quite ready to believe yet, but now might consider rolling him out. Anyone else giving serious consideration to starting Crabtree? Who you going with him over?

He'll get his yards, don't know if he'll get the TD's. Those will probably go to Vernon Davis but thats why I'm playing Alex Smith.

Yes I am a believer. Like I said in the 'Emerging Player' thread, I expect him to produce anywhere from Derrick Mason to Brandon Marshall from here on out.

Thinking about it in 2 dynasty leagues.Doods has him 12 Bllom has him 13. I will probably wait to see if he scores. To start him I'd have to bench Greg Jennings, Driver or Collie/Lance Moore. In another league I have the real Smitty, Brandon Marshall, Driver, Collie and Cotchery(can start 0 RB's and 5 WR's). May do it there. I have been starting Ricky plus 5 WR's.

I might be starting him over Megatron. Like his matchup and want to see Calvin go full on before putting him back in the lineup.

earlier this year I traded away Crabby and 2 1st rounders for Colston and a 2nd. Already thinking that might have been a mistake. :(

I've had to start him the past 2 weeks due to bye week blues and overall WR suckiness on my team. I think he's already worth a consistent WR spot and could end up performing as a solid WR2 from here on out. Not ready to say he'll be in the Top 15 though -- that seems like a bit of a stretch based on 2 weeks...

Crabtree hit the ground running so to speak - already the clear #1 option in this passing game, even though he hadn't worked with the team in OTAs, training camp, or the first month of the season. He's in amazing shape and playing very well, Alex Smith has given a boost to the passing game, and things will only get better as Crabtree gets his feet under him. Hence, the optimism in my projection for him this week and going forward.

Some interesting numbers on Alex Smith from Mike Sando (ESPN)

In a nutshell, Alex Smith has done well throwing to Crabtree on third down, albeit with a very limited sample size. This jives with our impression of Crabtree as a guy who can get separation on short and intermediate routes, and win the ball he has to compete for when he doesn't get separation. I expect vs. the Titans there will be a lot third-and-passing situations. Crabtree could easily arrive as a PPR stud right away. He's already catching the ball at a 80-95 catch season pace coming in cold...

I'm expecting this week to be his first stinker. Finnegan makes me hesitant. A lot of people could get burned this week thinking that Crab is a PPR lock for double digits when looking at the Tenn pass D rankings.

He's already one of the 20 best WR's in football.

I think he's an every week PPR start. I also think Alex Smith is really turning around his own NFL career.

Have had him in the lineup over Bray-Bray, Miles Austin and Hines Ward all week. Going against a rival who's a 9er fan and hopefully Crabs going off will make his L sting even more :lmao:

In a PPR league, TEN is giving up more points to opposing WR than any other team, IIRC.
This was with Finnegan out for Tenn he locked down walker to the tune of 9 yards last week, I be carefull on who I start Crabtree over this week
