I've read throught the League Management thread and I've read through the League Rules thread. Great posts and info. I was wondering what are some of the more creative things some of you guys do with your league's? Not rules but the "extra's" that really bond the league together.

My league is full of old college friends so it's serious but is more a way of getting together yearly, enjoying football and giving each other crap for 5-6 month's. Course we all think we could be GM's of any NFL team right now.

Out of town live draft's? Rent out bar space? Outdoor BBQ?

My league has guys from multiple towns but all within a couple hours. We meet - BBQ - live draft - but then most have to rush back home. Most of us are married under 5 years with kids 0-2 so time away is a luxury at the moment. No weekly meetings.

What about league awards/prizes/acknowledgements?

We're switching to a higher entry fee this year. Planning on Weekly payouts for most points scored, 1st-3rd and toilet bowl payouts in a head to head league but also having a single payout for end of year most points scored. Any other cash idea's you guys do? Mid-year awards? Awards for breaking a League Record? Awards other than cash?

Do you guys do trophy's? If so, what kind? I'm thinking of a customized Mini-Helmet with the winning team's logo on it this year. Something that won't wind up in a box in less than a year.

Just looking for creative idea's. We're a 5 year old league and I like to change it up a little every year as Commish.

I have been commisioning a league for 14 years now, and this year we decided to have a Fantasy Football Hall of Fame. This is just a way to keep everyone communicating over the offseason. Sick as I am, I have kept records of all 14 years and am now currently breaking down the stats and forwarding them out to the owners. QB and RBs have been voted on so far.

It is all for laughs as we are consistantly arguing about Hall of Fame inductees and snubs.

As far as a trophy, we have your standard trophy with a football type player on it. All 14 champions have an engraved plate and will continue adding to it like a Stanley Cup. Records are acknowledged but no cash associated with them.
