"Criminals, Cheats and Traders"
32 team league startup $50

New League Startup: Top level owners needed for expert level league. The league is based on the concept of the “Rockers
a Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy” league that had over 800 trades the first year. Very active owners are needed, as this league is dynasty in concept and trades, chats and schedules events the year around.

Special features include: league wide 32 franchise trading, full IDP play, coaches, kick returners, punters, taxi squads allowing claims for compensation, and more. The league conducts contests for mock NFL rookie drafts, post season, NFL pool picks, Survivor Pools, Trick or treat trading, and more.

The format promotes trading by positional scarcity and a scoring model that is time tested by other leagues. The fantasy
experience is very much like operating an NFL team.

Competition Level: High – serious interest in NFL football and high activity level is required to succeed – year around waiver activity with rookie drafts in May – if you want to learn football inside and out, this is the way; This league will have owners that are commissioners, college coaches, and others with high knowledge of football.

League Description “Criminals, Traders and Cheats”

Comprehensive rules are on the site that should insure fairness. Scoring is setup to value defense
sufficiently to allow for trading of defensive players for equal offensive players. Knowledge is required of DT and
CB plus in depth knowledge of NFL players.

Drafts for Startup, Rookies, Supplemental and Expansion.

Cost: $50 / year; $1,600 prize pool;

League theme: icons and franchises must fit theme and some "persona" personalities will likely emerge. Expect to meet some rather notorious characters. We really have fun in these leagues.

No. I won't use League Safe until they are insured, bonded or place the funds in a trustee account.

Below is my opinion of League Safe as posted on the site: http://football32.myfantasyleague.com/2013/mb/topic_show.pl?bid=201371991&tid=3959498

League Safe: Good question, and the answer is sadly NO.

I was a big proponent, but when I did my due diligence investigation, I could not support League Safe. I am aware that there have been no losses to date for using League Safe, but the business model has significant problems in my opinion.

Specifically:

I did a background and credit check as well as contacting the owner of League Safe, Paul Charchian. He corresponded with me by email until I inquired if LeagueSafe was bonded or insured. After that, he refused to return my emails. There was no physical address in MN for LeagueSafe. No way to contact the company by phone. The Sec. of State did not show the company to be incorporated. There was no way to determine what "capitalization" existed for the company.

I called the two participating banks listed on the LeagueSafe website. The two banks confirmed that Mr. Charchian was the sole account holder and that he may remove the funds at any time for any purpose. The account is not a "trustee" account nor is there any contractual arrangement that would allow leagues to collect in the case of loss. Neither, Mr. Charchiann or LeagueSafe were bonded or insured in the case of fraud.

Mr. Charchian owns a fantasy football company, Fantasy Sports Insurance (FSI), that offers insurance against poor performance of your fantasy team. Buying insurance against poor performance of a fantasy game sounded like a scam to me.

Mr. Charchian offered fantasy advice on Meta Café podcasts. After listing to his advice, I was not convinced that he was the person I would trust to hold my funds.

It is my understanding from my investigation that Mr. Charchian is in the real estate business. I do not have proof, but the funds are possibly used to fund real estate holdings of Mr. Charchian. That is OK, and not illegal, but it is not the type of safety I could recommend to the league. I did not have the opportunity to ask him this question as he would not grant me a phone call.

There has been no loss to date for LeagueSafe. I do not know Mr. Charchian or have any opinion as to his trustworthiness. However, the business model, and unwillingness of Mr. Charchian to discuss my concerns, caused me to determine that LeagueSafe was not an entity I wished to do business with concerning money. LeagueSafe, as a company, was not a "trustee", insured or "bonded" for losses. As such, I could not recommend them to hold funds for our league.

I have posted my conclusions at MyFantastyLeague.com and FootballGuys.com . No one from LeagueSafe has ever contacted me or disputed any of my statements or indicated any change in their model. No individuals in the fantasy community have ever disputed any statement or reported different facts. I don't go out of my way to cause trouble for LeagueSafe, but I answer questions honestly if they are asked concerning my opinion.

Concerning League Safe, the Rockers league made a decision not to use this company. http://www23.myfantasyleague.com/fflnetdynamic2009/51140_2316117.html for discussion of this in 2009.

With that being said.. For a $50 entry league, I think Leaguesafe's track record is MORE then enough. Like you said, "There has been no loss to date for LeagueSafe." atleast someone who joins your league would be able to see that leaguesafe has a consistent background, one that can see more then trusting a ramdom Commissioner. Though I am sure you an honest commissioner, so I mean no disrespect. My only point is that for low entry fee leagues I think Leaguesafe is a good viable third party system to use. Now if you start getting into high-stake leagues, then I think your research holds much more weight. Just my opinion.

I think Leaguesafe's track record is MORE then enough.
I am more trying to find owners than start a discussion about LeagueSafe. I treat my responsibility as a commissioner very seriously and that is why I did the leg work on the company.

Companies with a poor business model sometimes have a good track record (Bernie Maldorf is an example). Most reputable companies that hold funds are insured or bonded against fraud or theft. Most reputable companies will respond to emails or allow phone calls concerning the safety of the funds.

I appreciate that RealWinners and Derek are supporters of League Safe and they have the right to determine who is responsible to hold their funds in fantasy football. However, as a commissioner, I could not live with myself if I didn't do proper due diligence on a company that was holding all the league funds. Sending the funds to someone that won't return my emails, and who has such a sloppy business model, was not a decision I was willing to make.

I think everyone in fantasy football should look long and hard at what League Safe does with the money it "holds." And, hope the investment market does not go down.

I'm in Ghost's other league- and I can assure you he is of the highest integrity, and one can peruse the league "Rockers: A Rock and Roll fantasy" to review his performance as commish.

This league should be very competitive as many of the teams from Rockers are in this new league.

I think there could be a separate discussion thread about leaguesafe, and if i remember correctly there previously has been one. I think that Ghost is pointing out that there is nothing particularly "safe" about league safe other than having safe in the name. It is not bonded or insured- that guy can run off with your money just like other commishes have before him. Ghost could run off with your money. I know him, and his "by the book" type, and i trust him beyond reproach. Maybe the leaguesafe guy is just as trustworthy, maybe he's not. I don't know him. He has a good track record, so hopefully it stays legit, and nothing happens. Just don't think your deposits there are in anyway "safe" from fraud.
