Croyle to start for KC in Week 7? (Per ESPN) (1 Viewer)

Just heard it on tv, no link.WTF are they doing?
Trying to win ball games?Huard and Thigpen have not been effective, and Croyle is likely healed from separating his shoulder. Why not give him back his starting position? Not like the other QBs have made a strong statement to keep them under center.

Giving themselve the best chance to win?Huard was awful last week. Not just awful, one of the worst games I'd seen from a QB in years. He was week 1 Charlie Frye bad. When you get benched for Thigpen, you know things have gone horribly wrong.

They need to hit FA, or do something before the trade deadline to hopefully acquire a mediocre QB that will at least let them run some plays.

Why didn't they go after Chris Simms? Culpepper? FOr the fans sake you cannot continue to play musical QB. Herm best be gone after this season.

Simms or Culpepper, they are both finished and are not even better then Thigpen ( And Thigpen has to be the worst QB that ever played)

With Huard there is no chance that he will be come a better pro. While nothing excites anyone about Croyle, there is at least the slim (as opposed to no) chance that he can get better.

Agree to disagree. Not saying they would save the franchise, but they would be better than the product on the field IMO.
:) IMO, Simms and Culpepper both bring a lot more to the table than any QB on that roster. I know everyone expected KC to be bad and figured that Herm would get another year due to the relative youth of the team, but if the season keeps playing out like it has so far with absolutely no improvements anywhere, I don't see how they can bring him back.

They should install the Wildcat and let Larry Johnson play QB. Split Tyler Thigpen out as a WR. That would improve the team, at least from a humor standpoint.

need to start someone, until they draft a QB next year
They won't draft a QB next year. If they do, it will be a talent less guy they think they stole in a late round. Do you know who the last KC Chief drafted QB to start a game was prior to Brodie Croyle? (yes both Huard and Thigpen were not drafted by the Chiefs)It was Doug Hudson in 1987. He was so good, I don't even remember the guy and I am a Chiefs fan.Todd Blackledge in 1983 was the last QB drafted by the Chiefs who was supposed to be any good.As long as Carl Peterson and the #### family are running that organization, they will not be good.

It was supposed to be Matt Blundin. But he sucked. Like all our QB draft picks.

From Wiki:Hudson played only five minutes in the game, and he threw one pass for an incompletion.[5] He was sacked by Jim Ryan,[6] and he fumbled a hand-off in the end zone that he fell on and was tackled for a safety.[5][6] The next time the Chiefs had the ball he was replaced at quarterback by Matt Stevens and Hudson did not play another game in the league.[5]
