Cruz and Randle owners..... (1 Viewer)

I'm a die hard giants fan. There is not ONE giants player on any roster of mine this year. They are horrible.

My team had a great day today. Ray Rice to start it off, Victor Cruz to finish it.

At least I will only have to care about fantasy for 2 more weeks.

Right there with you. Who we picking up? Think the shark move is no waiver and see if anyone good gets dropped.

Cruz dropped like 40 yards worth of catches too. But they barely looked his way most of the game. The tight end was the main target.

What a disaster. I didn't even target Cruz one of those stupid "value" picks where he was the last guy in a perceived tier. Never take the value pick...

with no #1 WR ... you'd think Eli would look Cruz's way often - feed it to him

nope ... lets just keep running the ball, yeah, that's working really well

Jennings looked good and worthwhile for fantasy. Cruz dropped 3 he should have had. Randle... was barely thrown to at all? And Eli, well, he looked like Tony Romo out there. I want no part of that passing offense.

How does a guy with the same genes and twice as many Super Bowls as Peyton suck so bad ?
peyton>eli>cooper
Cooper doesn't belong in the discussion. Never got a chance to show what he could do because his career ended early because of stenosis. Supposedly was the most talented of the three brothers, but one of those things we will never know (like what if Archie had actually been drafted by a good team instead of New Orleans?).

Abandon ship!

I actually dropped Randle before tonight's game to grab a backup TE so I'm ahead of the curve.

I drafted Cruz as my flex play and figured he might be off to a slow start. If he doesn't drop those balls last night he would have had an okay stat line. New offense for the Giants, I think things will get better for them but go ahead and overreact to one week, that is usually a solid strategy in fantasy.

Williams is my RB5 in one league. I think there could be something there eventually this year.

I avoided all Giants WRs in drafts though.

The bigger problem is that the Giants' OL is terrible and it's hard to get it down the field if you don't have time to throw the ball. Eli is going to get sacked at least 50 times this year, let alone throw 20+ picks.

Cruz IMO is going to have a long year. Teams are going to take him out the game. No one else on the Giants scares you.

I have Cruz on my team and last night was so hard to watch. He either dropped the pass or the pass was always just out of his reach. I won my game by 1 point, but if Cruz makes a few of those catches I would been able to relax a little. COME ON MAN!!

While I didn't love what I saw, obviously, I'm certainly not cutting bait on Victor Cruz. He's their best receiver and they will make every effort to get him the ball. If you drafted him as a number 1 WR, I can see your issue. But for me as a WR2/3, I feel as though he will come around. I think now is a perfect time to buy LOW.

I've got Cruz in two keeper leagues. I'm not cutting him, but he's going to the bench until he shows something. In one of the league it's not as big of a deal as we start 3 and I've also got Roddy White, Micheal Floyd, Jeremy Maclin, and Michael Crabtree, with Andrew Hawkins for depth...

In the other league I'll be debating between Terrence Williams and Markus Wheaton to start alongside Megatron...

(Yeah, I know, nobody cares about my team, but I figured maybe this would lead to some good discussion...)

I think the line is the biggest issue also. Eli looks okay when he has time. Cruz has had issues with drops before but does make big plays. Looking like he will be a low wr2/high wr3 this year with some ups and downs.

I am more worried about Randle because we have not seen anything from him up to this point

In a keeper league, I knew who was going to be left for me to take, and had to choose between C. Patterson, Floyd and Roddy White. I thought Cruz was the best combination of relative youth and extensive track record of success.

Having watched that game, on top of being a Giant fan, was FANNNN-Tastic.
