Houston - They could have waited out and seen what the aftermath was. If not that bad, they could have played 2 on Monday and rescheduled game 3 of the series if needed. Everything they needed to know, would have been know by Saturday. If Houston couldn't host a game, then they would have 24 hours to get to any of the below ballparks (each vacant on Sunday and Monday) and play at least 2 of the 3 games.MilwaukeeDetroitMinnesotaTorontoSeattleAtlantaSt LouisLA DodgersSan FranThere's no reason to go to the left coast, so take out SF, SEA and LAD. No one wants to go to Canada, so take out Toronto. That leaves 5 options: Milwaukee, Detroit, Minnesota, Atlanta and STL. Considering Houston was the home team, the absolute worst case scenario was Milwaukee and that's what was chosen. I'll have to admit that this is probably what happened. Sure the Cubs benefited from it, but nothing was needed to get this team to the playoffs as things stood when this was decided.
