Curious for some thoughts (1 Viewer)

12-team AL Only, 5x5

$325 cap

9 pitchers, 2 C, 4 of, 2b, 3b, ss, mi, ci

Iwamura ($13), Sh.Stewart ($7) and Loewen ($5) for

Rios ($19), Crede (I have Fields) and Buck ($2)

I'm totally under the cap after losing Giambi and Ryan for the year ($53 total).

Iwamura and Stewart are both in my lineup and would only be replaced with Rios leaving my 3b or CI empty. I'm leaning against it for this reason... but getting buck wouldn't be so bad considering he may continue to play every day. However, when Iwamura is playing... he's top notch - injuries have hurt him a bit this year.

Any thoughts?

I'd look for something besides Crede in the deal. But I think the other components of the deal are excellent. Rios is a good deal better than Iwamura and Sh. Stewart, and Buck is having a breakout year. You don't say if you could hold him for next year, but he'd be a great holdover at $2 if you can.

I don't know how much PT Buck is going to get if/when Bradley, Kotsay and Swisher are all healthy. Then there's Jack Cust, Shannon Stewart, Mike Piazza, etc. The OF/1B/DH situation is a jumble.

Yes, Buck would be able to be kept at $2... then extended at 5 per year after next season.Buck isn't exactly lighting the place on fire... I think he's got like 7 RBI

??? Which Buck are we talking about? I thought it was John Buck, who is having a great year.w/ 10 HR already. If not, that definitely changes my perspective on the deal.
