Ok guys,

I need your help. Do any of you know where to get a break down on current secondaries? I can't seem to find this or I am just looking up the wrong thing. I think this would be a great help in determining your WR match ups during the Fantsay playoffs.

Thanks and good luck to you all in the playoffs!

Any suggestions? :hey:

Thanks, I look at that too.

I guess I'm more curious as which teams have "shutdown" corners (if there is such a thing) and then how their #2, #3 corners rate. Prime example is with Colston and Moore if a team has the so called shutdown then you are smarter to play Moore vs just an average secondary then you play Colston. Just curious if there was anything out there like that.

Thanks again!

Ok lets try the night sharks. I would think this would be a good thing to know. Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

I'm not sure what sort of tool you're looking for.

I can tell you the pass defenses I'd avoid and why, but I don't use a specific tool to make said decisions.

It's tough to justify benching a guy only based on a good corner matchup, since O's swap formations, put guys in motion, etc. About the only guy (lately) I'd consider benching a decent WR1/2 (FF) is Asomugha in OAK - but even in that example, on Thursday VJax goes off. Also, there's a lot that goes into good corner play aside from a great cornerback skills (i.e. pressure/pass rush, scheme, other offensive threats to deal with in the gameplan, etc.)

I'd look more towards injury reports to find out if the team your WRs are starting against are ?able or out.

Along those lines, I saw on the NFLN ticker that Finnegan and the other TN corner were ?able this week. I've been talking myself out of Braylon all week, and aside from the 3rd string qb - Finnegan was a good reason to bench BE (along w/ the rest of the solid TN D).

Deep dive stats can help, but (for me anyway) it ususally comes down to 1. rarely bench your studs and 2. gut feelings 3. insane weather

Thanks, I have some good WR's and it seems I always guess wrong. But will look at the matchups, how they have done against WR and then check injured players. Good luck to you in the playoffs!
