Cut bait on Dominic Rhodes? (1 Viewer)

Does anybody see the guy having RB2 value this year, or is it inevitable that Addai is taking over? (Plus, the Colts don't seem to be much of a running team.)

Doesn't seem like he's done much for FF but then he gets a TD each week which makes his FF points respectable

Yeah, the two TDs have kept his FF points looking solid. But does anyone think those TDs will continue?

I think they will. In most games Indy will be in their opponents red zone all day.
I agree. Rhodes even had value last year with James in town, for the simple reason stated above. They score so many friggin' times, Rhodes has to get a piece of it.

After two weeks, he's ranked 17th in a standard scoring league. His numbers aren't great but he still is an ok option if you don't have other options.

It's still only week 2. Next week is a TOUGH matchup with the Jags in town. Let's see what he does against them. He could put the ball on the carpet a couple of times against the Jags and find himself in the doghouse for a few games.....

I'm definitely holding. He's not taking off (yet) like Dodds thought in the preseason, but injuries (to Addai) and the rookie wall are both two huge possibilities to giving Rhodes lots of the value during FF playoffs.

He's done for 2007 in Indy, however.

As could Addai. Again.

I wouldn't cut bait. The Colts will likely have the lead, running out the clock in every game. He'll put up nice garbage time numbers.

I'm in a small-roster 10-team league with a crop of running backs that are killing me: Jamal, DeShaun, TJones, RBush, Rhodes. I need to cut one to pick up Colston as a TE. It's killing me. I'm 0-2.

After last week neither Rhodes or Addai did anything (although this was against Jacksonville) has anyones perception changed on the situation?

Disconcerning for Addai was he did not even get many looks. I guess on the bright side he did get a goaline carry.

Thoughts

I traded him and Lee Evans for T Glenn and K Barlow last week. I was more inclined to get rid of Evans then Rhodes, and when the owner offered up this trade I jumped on it. Simply couldn't predict when Evans would go off, and felt Rhodes was a sinking ship while Barlow was going to see an increase in value.

Yes, Rhodes got more carries this weekend... but he still has failed to do ANYTHING with them. I can't see how the Colts can keep running with Rhodes... Addai has only gotten limited chances but he blocks better, catches better, and has been running better.

Yes it was the Jags D but Rhodes has been poor all season... I have both Rhodes and Addai in a league and am thinking about trading of Rhodes or cutting him and picking up someone else...

Rhodes is my RB4 in one league with Drew as RB5. Seriously considering moving him to a thin RB roster for some help at TE/DEF/benchWR or something like that. He's not gonna be getting those carries in the playoffs unless of course indy has HF locked up and he's in as the backup.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................

Intersting thought there.

3 weeks, sit tight. I don't think having Addai and not Rhodes would be a good thing for you over the course of the season. then again I have no clue what the rest of your roster looks like or your record.
