Cutler as a keeper? (1 Viewer)

What is Cutler's keeper value now since he will be traded? Still a 3rd, 4th or now even a 5th rounder?

Or, do we need to wait and see which team (and which WRs) he ends up on first?

I think the Bronco's will get ample in return for him as they have just opened up the trade gates and teams will be doing their best to out-bid each other for a 25 year old, cheap Pro Bowl QB. Just my 2 cents.

I think the "cheap" part is going to evaporate pretty quickly as a result of this whole situation.

It's certainly a question I have. Thought keeping Cutler was a no-brainer going into the offseason, but now I have to see where he lands. TB and Jax seem to be the worst possible destination, IMO, but alot of the teams mentioned are lacking alot of talent- Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, that it seems like a downgrade.

FF wise, I can't see Cutler worth anymore than he was in Denver

I think his value drops for sure, it's just a matter of the degree of downgrade.

I see the most value to be had at Detroit. Even staying in Denver it was clear that is would be difficult to replicate last year's numbers.

Any further thoughts now that he went to Chicago? Keeper value now? What round in a re-draft would he get selected at this point?

He sure does not have much in receiver talent at Soldier Field.

See what Erik Kramer did with Ron Turner calling the plays in the 1990's. He can put up stud numbers with average WR's, and he will, imo...

As of now, I'd say 4th round in a re-draft if CHI picks up a decent WR or two.
That's going to be tricky at this stage in FA and with the Bears not having a 1st or a 3rd rounder in this year's draft.
I'm not expecting much, but then again it won't take much to improve upon what's there now. Maybe a decent camp cut from another team? Holt isn't very exciting, but maybe he has one more year left in the tank. Matt Jones w/ some games off? IMO they'll (at the very least) need a Toomer/Engram type - a guy who always runs the right routes and is in the right place. Olson should be solid either way.
