Cyndi Lauper vs Rush (1 Viewer)

The only way to settle things is in the squared circle. Lauper, Wendi Richter and the corpse of Captain Lou Albano against Peart, Lee and Lifeson.

To be clear I like some of her work. She had some good pop songs. But she isn't even in the same zip code, haters aside.

So she is average, at best, while Rush is one of the worst things ever inflicted on ears (coming in just above Rosie Perez's voice). Advantage Lauper.

Does Canada even have zip codes?
Yes they do however they are called Postal Codes.
The next thing you know you will tell me they use numbers AND letters for these "Postal Codes".Do they think they are England or something?
They are alphanumeric but maybe they copied the Dutch.

There's been fits and starts, but we haven't had Rush hate in some time - good to know things haven't changed too much over the years.

Makes me like them that much more.

None of the TRUE Cyndi Lauper fans even like her pop hits. When we go to her concerts we all leave whenever she sings them. We prefer the deep album cuts.

I really don't think RUSH holds up over time so by default Lauper wins Time After Time. She Bop alone makes this a landslide.

I really enjoy the concert version of She Bop. Sometimes it goes on for 30 minutes or so. The rest of the band leaves and Cyndi masturbates all by herself at the front of the stage. With drumsticks. She's probably the best at this in rock history.

Lauper has sold 10 million more albums than RUSH. I would not have guessed that.
That is counting everything not just albums. That number includes singles, compilations, an album of covers, videos and concert dvds. And if it weren't for those lovable Japanese fans she wouldn't have sold crap since 1989.

American singer Cyndi Lauper has released eleven studio albums,[1] six compilation albums, three video albums and forty-six singles. Worldwide, Lauper has sold approximately 50 million albums, singles and DVDs worldwide.[2][3][4

According to the RIAA Rush ranks 80th with sales of 25 million units in the United States.[2] Although total worldwide album sales are not calculated by any single entity, several industry sources estimated Rush's total worldwide album sales at over 40 million units as of 2004. The group has been awarded 24 gold, 14 platinum, and 3 multi-platinum albums.[3]
