waters down both he and Jordan's value. Considering the horrible state of the team these guys will have very little value.Schefter says the same thing. LINKI'm not too high on the move.Free agent RB Dominic Rhodes reached agreement Friday morning on a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Oakland Raiders.
So am I.This should be one ugly RBBC.Am I ever glad I dumped jordan from my dynasty team...he's done.
Still got him unfortunately. Not too good, as Rhodes is going to give him competition for the starting gig. Perhaps even more importantly, the new coaching regime brought in Rhodes, while Jordan/Fargas are holdovers.Am I ever glad I dumped jordan from my dynasty team...he's done.
ya, it looks like he may have a role similar to last year on a MUCH worse team. Take his #'s from last year and multiply by .8.Damn. He went to fantasy hell. His small frame will never hold up to the beating he'll take getting flattened 4 yards in the backfield everytime he gets the ball.Drop him waaaaaay down.
Just what a team with a terrible Oline needs...a slow immobile QB.Carr's sack record would be in jeopardy. Not to Hi-jack, but I have heard rumors of Bledsoe to Oakland recently.
I don't really blame Rhodes, he has been pretty underpaid throughout his career. He has a Super Bowl ring, and now he is making some $$$. And who knows how the Raiders will be in year 2. Teams can turn around. Look at the Saints last year, or the Rams during their Super Bowl year. And people told Randy johnson he was a fool for taking the money in Arizona.Perfect example of a guy getting his ring and then going wherever the $$ is highest, with absolutley no regard for the chances of future individual or team success.
This is likely his only chance in his career that he will be able to cash in. He's an average RB. I can't blame him for making the move, $3 mill is more than I thought he'd get.Perfect example of a guy getting his ring and then going wherever the $$ is highest, with absolutley no regard for the chances of future individual or team success.
cause he stinksWhy do they hate Justin Fargas?
Re-hijackSeems reminiscent of Tennessee inexplicably bringing in Collins last year -Bledsoe could be a care taker for the first part of the season while Russell/Quinn get a little more prep before being thrown to the wolves. Not to Hi-jack, but I have heard rumors of Bledsoe to Oakland recently.
I'd do the same thing if I were him. He's an average RB, he's not Edge. He's got to get paid when he can, because it could be his last payday, you never know.Perfect example of a guy getting his ring and then going wherever the $$ is highest, with absolutley no regard for the chances of future individual or team success
Chrissy-pooh?Seriously, who's left besides the rookies? Dillon and Brown...Don't the NY Giants need a RB?
I'd say his receiving skills are on a par with Jordan's. Jordan is not that outstanding of a receiver out of the backfield. His 05 numbers have misled people into thinking this. He also led the league in the drops that year. That was a statistical aberration and not an indication of exceptional receiving ability on Jordan's part.Aren't they too similar to be a true RBBC? Is it a chance Rhodes will be a simple backup to Jordan and on grab 5-10 carries per game. Is he considered to be a better receiver than Jordan?
not with oaklands Oline he doesntRhodes has value as the goal line back.

Dayne? That's an odd place to end up. I'm a little surprised the market wasn't better for him.Who is the best FA left? Brown? Duckett?
Am I ever glad I dumped jordan from my dynasty team...he's done.
I doubt it.Rhodes hasn't really shown that he can carry the load. This will be the poor man's 'Thunder and Lightning' in 2007.Any chance Jordan gets dropped/traded now? I think it's a little early to assume RBBC.

It prolly would've been until his DUIIMO this is a great time to get jordan...he was considered as one of if not the best backup rb when he was in ny behind curtis martin and when he finally got a chance to be a starter for someone he responded with nearly 1,600 yards of total offense. Now after an injury plagued season and the addition of a rb who's been nothing but the 1-B rb for his entire career jordan is done? That's an odd place to end up. I'm a little surprised the market wasn't better for him.
That 1600 yd. season was the exception, not the rule. The Oakland RB situation is the yuck. More like the homeless man's 'Thunder and Lightning'I doubt it.Rhodes hasn't really shown that he can carry the load. This will be the poor man's 'Thunder and Lightning' in 2007.Any chance Jordan gets dropped/traded now? I think it's a little early to assume RBBC.
That's an angle many haven't mentioned. While it's not good for Jordan's fantasy value, seems like a bump (at least for now) for Addai.I guess the Colts will draft a RB in the later rounds. DeDe Dorsey anyone?
Wait to see where Dillon winds up before bumping Addai.Signing Dillon seems like it has Polian written all over it...That's an angle many haven't mentioned. It seemed to me the Rhodes departure was already factored into Addai's perceived value. That's an angle many haven't mentioned. While it's not good for Jordan's fantasy value, seems like a bump (at least for now) for Addai.I guess the Colts will draft a RB in the later rounds. DeDe Dorsey anyone?
I think he's decent, but I can definitely sense his weaknesses being shown when he's not running behind Manning (and behind a poor OL).He and Jordan are probably one-year fill-ins until the Raiders get their RB of the future next year.He will not see the second year money, as he isn't a good RB. Of this, I am 100% sure.
