caddy should be going in the shop soon. graham could be a sneaky pick up.

News: PewterReport.com says RB Derrick Ward didn't practice again on Friday, making his chances of playing against the Redskins in Week 4 slim. Ward is dealing with a knee injury. If he's out, Cadillac Williams would likely start and see some playing time along with Earnest Graham and Clifton Smith.

Analysis: For now, count Ward out for Week 4 while Cadillac Williams moves up as a decent No. 3 Fantasy RB even though it will be tough for him to run freely against the Redskins. Additionally, Graham and Smith are worth taking a flier on since one or both could see a handful of carries -- Graham could see goal-line work potentially.

Graham has been dinged up too, but I agree that if Caddy and Ward continue to be limited, Graham should at least see an increase in opportunity.

Would love to know more about what people know about Ward and Graham's injury limitations -- what's their issues, do you think they are on-going for these backs or should one or both be able to completey heal, etc.?

Right now this looks like a total mess, with whomever is healthiest getting carries, and potentially not being effective doing so thanks to injury limitations -- but knowing a little more about the nature of these injuries would help tease out whether one or more of these backs could have the most value in these crucial bye weeks.

I think Caddy may have a very productive game this week. With a new QB I think they will likely attempt to start off safe which means heavier carry workload along with some quick screens. I'm going to boldly say that Caddy gets 15 points in standard leagues.

Out of the 3 Graham is the bruiser back, and would probably be used more when they are ahead and trying to eat up the clock. Considering how bad the D is, I don't think too many of these opportunities will arise.

Now that's just crazy talk. Any word on what exactly Ward's knee injury is? Some sort of strain?

I doubt it's serious. They have the luxury of being extra cautious since they are strong at the position, so I doubt they would play him if he wasn't healthy.
