**Dallas at Philadelphia**(-8.5, 48.5) 8:20 NFL Kickoff on NBC (2 Viewers)

This running game is gonna be a problem.
They failed to address the Running Back position two years in a row. Although, I like how Javonte Williams looks. Hopefully he's fully recovered and plays like he did in college.
I thought Williams looked slow.

Jaydon Blue would have probably housed that toss on 3rd & 1. I'd rather see what Mafah has tonight.

Sanders will never see the ball again after that fumble.

Am I crazy or does a weather delay seem to happen on these opening TH night games way more often than the the rest of the season?

The dude basically fell in front of him when he’s trying to close at max speed.

Get what it looked like. But another terrible call. These need to be reviewable.

You are loud wrong on that one. Even I, this board cro-magnon thinks there is no place for stuff like that.

Stuff like what?

He’s a safety coming to make a play with his shoulder and the guy basically crumbled to the ground as he arrives which is the only reason the contact was in the head/neck area.

Not that it matters but my dad was a D1 safety. I played DB in high school. I’ve made that play. It happens really fast. So that’s my bias.

Agree to disagree. That’s a bad call.

Dak hung em out to dry on that one. Not sure what Blankenship was supposed to do.
He’s supposed to not hit him with a firearm across the face?
I’ll watch the replay later, but he was trying to pull up going full speed. He didn’t foresrm shiver on purpose
Thank you for ignoring my autocorrect.

It looked pretty rough to me.
man, I am in a glass house typing on my phone. I’d never point out the typos of others

ND-Miami had rain all night/all game this past Sunday
And Florida is the lightning capital of the country

-They make us wait 20-30 minutes if there is a lightning strike anywhere near the tennis courts, sounds of thunder, etc...happens all the time and its annoying but...
Nobody is ever reported as being struck down on a tennis court. I've also never heard f anyne getting struck by lightning in the NFL 100 years ago long before they had modern radar

So where do all the fans go?

Yeah I played too. That was going to be a penalty even if Ferg caught the ball. You can make that play without leveling the guy.

I do acknowledge that he did try and hold up but imho, his initial intention was to blow the TE up.

You can call it a bad rule.

I get that, but on purpose or not really doesn’t matter does it?

Cowboys notched it anyway.
Yeah, bad rule.

But “blowing up the TE” is not a penalty.

My other bias is that I’ve officiated sports for over 20 years. Mostly basketball.

But I’m rules based. I believe the NFL rule says something about forcible contact to the head/neck area of a defenseless reciever.

And again, the only reason that happens is because of how the reciever fell.

Maybe. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Nothing good happens for Dallas when they take Lamb and Pickens off the field. Not saying that's why Sanders fumbled, but maybe Philly would have been more on their heels on the play?
