Dallas Clark (1 Viewer)

Dallas Clark is the #2 Ranked TE (Behind Gates). He has really been a great surprise this season.

I have always been a DC fan, but this pace is just amazing for a guy who has never finished in the top 10 (his highest was 11th in 2004).

Do you feel that as Anthony Gonzalez gets more comfortable (also Peyton more comfortable with him) that DC's targets will start to decrease?

I notice something last week watching the game. If the Colts come to the line and a defense is in its base defense (not nickel) DC will more times than not line up as a wide out. This causes either a safety of come up and cover him OR a linebacker to try to cover him. If the defense is in a nickel or similar defense DC will stay on the line or near it - DC is a above average run blocker.

Also he is getting a ton of looks near the goal line. In fact he leads the team in red Zone targets.

The strength of schedule looks good except for week 11.

Piece of trivia: Who does Peyton room with on the road and in training camp?

Take a wild guess. I forget where I learned this - it might have been on this board.

keeps this type of production up... I can't see it.... but top 5 TE isn't out of the question.

he looks awesome.... and if marv retires this yr; we could see atleast top 10 TE production yr in and yr out for seasons.

And people laughed when I asked if he could be TE10 or better....

I dont see why it wouldnt continue. Teams dont gameplan for him and he cant be covered by a LB or most safeties. I dont know if he will finish #2, but def top 5.

He really does look great so far. He's fired up and looks like he wants the ball all the time. Combine that with the fact that he's going up against LB's frequently, and I think he can definitely put a nice season together. The TD's might be less consistent, but he should still get plenty of targets and catches.

can and will. both he and Manning are playing tremdous ball. TEs rarely get doubled and he's a tough cover with his size and speed. its a contract year for Clark. he'll continue to roll along imo.

I've been saying this all year. I'd consider myself a Colts "homer". This is the reason why this MB is so good. Manning's last roommate? Brandon Stokley.

The ONLY concern is that Clark is always nicked up with this or that. He has missed 12 of Indy's 64 games since he was drafted. That's almost 1/5 of the games. Contrast that to Gates. He missed only 3 games in that same time frame.

Dallas Clark, TE, Colts -- I thought he was too old for a breakthrough at 28. I overvalued his bad rate at converting passes thrown to him in 2006. And I overestimated the impact first-round pick Anthony Gonzalez as a slot receiver. Hopefully, you ignored me and drafted Clark anyway. If so, keep him. He's Peyton Manning's roommate. I wish I could get a list of who rooms with every QB.

fantasy football is BS. i drafted Dallas Clark the past 3 seasons and finally gave up on him before this year.

:scared:

I'm surprised he isn't out after the shot he took yesterday. I think he takes too many big hits going over the middle. I'm not saying that Manning sets him up, but it seems like a lot of Indy TE go down to the injury bug.
