That's what I believe as well. The thing is the Cowboys know that as well, obviously. Therefore, why is he listed at DE? Why wouldn't they list him at LB from the start. Is there a chance he could be the Bryan Thomas of 2007? I know Brett Kiesel and Bert Berry to name a few are in the same boat. Just wondering.
I think the NFL.com and team site depth charts are still reflecting collegiate positions with rare exception. The first update is sometimes done during the first week of camp, but it may take until after the second or third preseason game to see all the appropriate updates completed.
