Dallas D ranked #1 this week? (1 Viewer)

Granted Dallas was impressive vs. Cleveland but Edwards and company made them look better than they were. A few catches for deep TD's and those totals wouldn't have been so impressive.

Philly has sky high confidence. Westbrook always does well vs. the Boys, and McNabb looks back in form. Even at home, I don't see this as even a top 5 play, let alone #1. Thoughts?

wat?I agree though, Dallas #1 seems a bit strange.

I don't see it. Philly O is too good.
Philly O is too good????? How about the Rams D is too bad!! They have Westbrook and that is it! It will take more than one game for me to say how good DeShaun is?? And McNabb will be hurt by week 4! Oh, did I mention they have no WRs?? I to can't see Dallas being ranked #1 either though!! Westbrook should alone knock them out of that ranking??

I'm going with Seattle over Dallas this weekend, like the hawks at home against the 49ers who had 5 turnovers last week. I'm open-minded about roster changes so if somebody can convince me why I should play the Boyz instead i'm all ears.

Dallas has Newman and Spencer back. Full use of all defense packages in the 2nd year of Phillips 3-4.
Agreed. Throw in Tank Johnson, PacMan, dominant offense, MNF loving egomaniacs, etc.Fantasy production is not a function of holding Philly to a certain number.A pick 6 or kick return TD, 2 picks, 4 sacks. But then again I "reached" for Dallas at 9.04 (after 5 defenses were off the board) so I'm biased.

Bottom 10 play, saved by the Felix Jones return TD and the 2 last second sacks..37 PA, 337 YDS, DTD (98), DFR, 4 SACK 8
12 points which exceeded the projection by 3 points. Once again Dodds oVVns a naysayer. He also had the yards allowed pegged at 344 so he missed that by 7 yards. :fishing:

Settle down BassNBrewBrownNoser. I never knew that 37 points against and 337 yards against warranted a #1 selection. Even with the return kick (I'm sure factored into Dodd's projections), the late muffed handoff and the 2 late desperation sacks it was a grand total of 8 points in our league. There were several obvious mismatches this week that were WAY better than this one. So, I sincerely doubt I am owned by questioning this (before the fact, not after). But sniff on..

Is the the defense version of "take away his two long runs and he was average at best."?

Dodds isn't projecting for your league. But while you're making yourself look silly, he did project the Cowboys to have the highest probability for a D/ST TD. I guess insults are all you have when you're on the wrong side of an argument.

I don't see this guy argueing anything. They finishd 7th this week in our league. I would have thought Cowboys #1 DST this week would have been a far stretch too. I would have though Packers vs Lions would have been a better matchup. For the Packers of course.
