They beat the Eagles last night. The running game was completely non existent so the game was really won on the backs of their defense and also Romo getting some very well timed big plays...did he go for 300 last night? Not a Dallas fan, but they were thrown under the bus after 4 games and going 2-2...now they are 6-2 and possibly are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC. So what say you Dallas fans? How far are they going to go?
didnt read past your original question. i'll add my .02first of all, HUGE win last night! they won the games they were supposed to win. this one was a favored division rival, on the road.i am cautiously optimistic. love where we're at, but understand it's a LONG road ahead. ultimately, this team has folded late in the season. we all know it, it's well documented.barring key injuries, and keeping the momentum on the upward swing, this team can be in any game, against any opponent.some keys to the Cowboys being successful:1) DEFENSE. Ware is heating up. Ratliff is a handful for anyone. Brooking is VERY solid in the middle. Sensabaugh has played solid at safety. 2) the O-line has been pretty solid. less penalties/mental mistakes.3) Terrell who? obviously Austin is an emerging star. but beyond that, Romo has been efficient, and spread the ball around to multiple targets. i loved how he got rid of the ball quickly, for the most part, last night. conservative, and then go for the dagger when it's there. 4) Roy was more involved last night, and i like the way they tried to get him the ball. hit him on slants all day long. he should have had a TD, but his arm was held and he couldnt make the one handed catch. no call, oh well, we still won. i like what Romo said after game about Roy. basically, he keeps working hard, and will have big games. the effort is there.5) i'd like to see Felix more involved. screens, and such. lets get him the ball in space.the million dollar question is, what is this team gonna do come December? I HOPE the Cowboys can get over the hump this year. theres a lot of football left, and things can change in a hurry in the NFL. so, for now, i'm just going to enjoy where we're at, and hope they continue to improve.
