Dallas vs 49ers game thread (1 Viewer)

Really looks like Dallas is Dominating this game. Romo threw an INT inside the 10 but really is passing at will. Mixing it up. Wish I could see it though

 
Hill (despite his bad back earlier in the week) has play the first half for SF.

Not at all. They've kidded about McBriar making sure that he didn't hit it. But this is the Dallas broadcast, so you wouldn't expect them to question Jerry.
 
Hill in the 2 minute drill did not look all that great - a lot of hurried looking throws. He mixed in a lot of dump off passes and had one very nice down the field pass. I would say inconsistent at best with not the worlds greatest pass protection.....but he was able to drive them down for a FG.

 
One thing that is starting to worry me is Dallas has dominated when the 1 st team offense has been in there the last 2 ist halves and the scoreboard is not really showing it. That is something this team needs to start watching. Can't let teams hang around.

You shouldn't read too much into that in the preseason. The good thing is that they're moving the ball. The thing that worries me a hell of a lot more is that they're still making a ton of stupid penalties.
 
It's not on tv at all here in the Houston area. :thumbup:

I share the worry, but remember this team is changing it's offensive philosphy. We longer are going to have tons of 4-5 play long TD drives. Higher percentage stuff and more even run/pass. Deep also in mind they aren't sjowing much of their red zone packages. Everything I've seen is pretty vanilla.

Yeah I guess you are right and the penalties need to stop and ST needs to step up. Defense and Offense looks good. Who started at wr in this game for the Cowboys

Agreed, the penalties have killed them - the last series after the Newman return was horrible!

It's stuff like this from the DMN Cowboys' blog that causes me to not worry much.
Tony Romo probably could have made it into the end zone if he tucked the ball and ran for it after moving up in the pocket.He chose to hit Patrick Crayton across the middle, a couple of yards shy of the end zone on third-and-goal.Smart decision.This is a preseason game. There's no reason for Romo to take any more hits than he has to. A four-point differential doesn't matter tonight.Plus, he set up a chip shot for Nick Folk to hit his first field goal since he had hip surgery.

Same song, different dance. Dallas dominates total plays and time of possession. Just like previous 2 games and like many last year. Then self-inflicted wounds (penalties and turnovers) make it much closer.

 
didnt see the first Newman punt return but Crayton just had a nice 13 yard return as well.That is good news to be getting good return yards

That is hard to say cause I think Dallas is holding that card close to the vest. Meaning I think he will be used a a lot more then they are showing in the preseason Get him as your back up and you could get yourself a great steal.
