So I missed out on some keepers in a keep 3 and I really only have two guys to keep(longoria, matt holliday)

My third would have to be Wang(who is not 3rd round material)

been offered my 5th pick(which is technically the 2nd round of drafting if you include your 3 keepers as rds 1-3) for Dan Haren.

We are doing a 5x5 roto/H2H so the regular categories apply. I think i have a good base of bats and adding Haren might be a nice move. How does he project out this year, he seems to love the National league as a #2 guy. Is my 5th too much for him?

I have seen his ADP anywhere near the 4th or 5th on most sites.

Haren's a solid pitcher but in general, I don't like these kind of deals. You're giving up more than a 5th rounder because you're sacrificing flexibility on your last keeper. The other owner (who presumably wasn't able to keep Haren) is getting a very valuable commodity for nothing.

yea he has 6 keepers and is looking to move 3(tex, haren, crawford) for extra picks. I am at the point where i either keep McClouth, Shields or Wang as a third rounder, or trade my 5th for Haren.Do any of those three guys have an ADP in the 3rd. This was my first go round with FBB so I made some drafting mistakes, but if I can salvage three solid keepers I think I can be in good shape for my second year.

why not try to angle for Tex or Crawford instead?

This would seem to be a buyers market. Either try to negotiate up for a better player, or down with a lower draft pick for Haren. You have nothing to lose.

asking price for Tex higher than Haren. He wants a 1st(4th rd) for Tex, 2nd(5th) for Haren and a 3rd(6th) for Crawford.

Thats how I look at it anyway, everyone has to keep three players so you really need to find three guys with ADP's less than 4.01, no?
