Dane Sanzenbacher (1 Viewer)

OK gang, bear with me here (pardon the pun).

Cutler is being widely reported as being very comfortable with the offense after another year with Martz.

All the other WRs in Chicago have been in the doghouse within the last year.

Mike freaking Furrey once had 98 catches for 1000+ yards under Mike Martz, who loves the slot guys.

Dane Sanzenbacher has been a training camp star.

And he is probably available in nearly every league.

If you haven't heard of him, you will. LMGTFY: http://tinyurl.com/44ty47q

Tell me I'm wrong or jump on the bandwagon fellas.

His hands seemed pretty suspect during the preseason but that may have been jitters. Then again he played at Ohio State so that shouldn't have been a problem. I'm pretty sure Bennett will be working out of the slot so I doubt he'll see the field much. Maybe next year?

martz isnt running the same offense in Chi - he'd probably like to, but with a horrible OL and a suspect WR corps he can't . . .

for example, Football Outsiders Almanac 2011 lists the Bears as being 15th in the league (middle of the pack obviously) with the number of running plays in 2010 - that NEVER happened in St. Louis, they were always last or close to it with rushing attempts . .

All that means that Martz uses less three and four wide sets - and guys like Sanzenbacher are irrelevant as a result . . .

Week 2 and we are already this far along......

Week 2: Dane Sanzenbacher 7 targets, 3 catches 33 yards 1TD

It's coming soon. A couple more weeks and people will start noticing him. When they do a game on MNF Gruden might have a stroke he loves the guy so much.

Mark it down, Oct 10th vs Detroit the breakout is coming.

pretend you didn't read the above post . . .

I don't see Sanzenbacher taking many offensive snaps once Earl Bennett comes back from his rib injury. That may happen as soon as next week (week 4). Bennett is said by many to be Cutler's preferred target.

He's a dynasty project much more than a redraft option. No one on the Bears, other than maybe Forte, is going to catch over 65 balls this year.

This is the type of guy you put on your dynasty team and hold him like a lotto ticket to see if he produces enough that you can rip off another owner. Once they fire Martz, which they will eventually, he goes back to being a zero.
