I'm in a 14 team dynasty league and Ware is on the WW. I loved what I saw from the guy this summer and feel that if Jacobs or Bradshaw went down with an injury he could contribute. I think he's almost 100% back from the elbow injury he suffered two months ago. I wouldn't be shocked if he was this year's Tashard Choice, a guy who gets playing time down the stretch because either of two guys in front of him get injured. The Giants have one of the best O-lines in football and with the cold weather looming I think they will rely more and more on their running game. For those who play in deep dynasty league, do you feel he is worth rostering?

I have him on my roster for the same reason (16-team dynasty). I haven't seen enough of him playing to have an opinion, but the Giants have done well picking RB's, and, while I can't predict injuries, Jacobs' violent running style makes me wonder whether Ware will get a shot sooner rather than later. Also, keep in mind that they drafted RB Andre Brown (4th rnd draft pick) this past draft -- while Brown is out for the year (achilles), he'll fight Ware on the depth chart at some point in the future.

I hope we both do well in having rostered him. :hifive:

I think if he is going to have value it will be this year - next year Andre Brown will have superceded him. I agree he has some value in the event of a Jacobs or Bradshaw injury, the Giants running game is awesome.

Curious as to why you would presume this? He was having a good (not great) TC before he ruptured his achilles - he was clearly 4th string behind Ware. What quality do you think he possesses that automatically moves him past Ware?from Brown's combine page:
Analysis Positives: Tall and thick in upper and lower bodies. Strong straight-ahead runner. Nimble enough to sidestep and find a running lane. Lowers his pads to run over tacklers. Will keep his legs churning in short-yardage situations and carry linebackers and safeties for a few yards. Able to stand up to blitzing linebackers. Productive receiver who is a mismatch against safeties in the open field.Negatives: Runs tall. Lacks elite speed, taking a few steps to get going. Inconsistent hands out of the backfield, body-catches too often. Tends to dance in the hole if there is anyone in his sight. Does not have the quickness to make defenders miss once stopped. Must have more awareness of blitzers off the edge.Injury Report 2007: Sat out the East Carolina, Virginia, Miami and North Carolina games after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured bone in his left foot suffered in the Florida State clash.2008: Again broke the bone in his left foot during spring drills, undergoing a second surgical procedure.
Anyway, I think Ware has possibilities, and anyone who watched him this summer has to feel the same way. Thinking about the half-season and great playoff run that Bradshaw put together a few years ago, or Choice last year...but obvs at some point it may come down to opportunity via injuries.
