I wouldn't count Woodhead out. The Jets picked him up last year and really liked him, but he injured his knee in camp and was cut. This year, he filled in while Jones and Washington were gone, and the coaches really liked what they saw. He's the all-time leading rusher in NCAA history, so he obviously has some talent. With Jones likely gone in the next year, who else is ahead of him for the future #3 spot? I think if he doesn't make the final roster, they place him on the practice squad with plans to bring him up next year.ETA:He's almost exactly the same size as Leon Washinton (Leon- 5'8" 195, Danny- 5'9" 195). So if you think he can't make it because he's too small, then neither can Washington.
You know more about him than I. I'll be honest, I had never even heard of the guy before tonight.
But, just looked him up on wikipedia.... WOW!!! 7,871 yards on 1,135 carries in his college career is simply amazing... I don't care if it is Division II...
