Cards tag star LB… Arizona has placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on ILB Karlos Dansby. The Cardinals, though, intend to continue negotiations with Dansby on a long-term contract and have until July 15 to strike a new deal. If Dansby is not signed by that date, he will play the entire 2008 season under a tag that will result in a one-year salary of $8.1M. Meanwhile, Dansby can continue to negotiate with other teams and the Cardinals would receive two first round picks as compensation if he signs with another team.

You got that right. Look for the Browns to show heavy interest in Pace if he projects as a pass rushing OLB to bookend Kamerion Whimbly. I'd much prefer Karlos but sigh, yer right, it was expected.
