as a Bowers owner, i can say he's inconsistent at best. Losing McCoy was especially bad in the beginning since he was moved to DT

That was only his second NFL start and it came because of a Michael Bennett was sidelined with an injury.

The Bucs suggested that he'd move inside a month ago, but I don't think he saw many more than what had been his usual nickel DT snaps. Right now, he's getting at least two of every three series as the base LDE in addition to being moved around in subpackages (though not quite as much as earlier).

There are still some issues with his play -- he's getting turned too often on running plays by OT -- but he's showing multiple pass rush moves now (including a burst off the edge at times) and he's flashing some speed in backside pursuit. Both are very good signs for next year.
