Darren McFadden's turf toes is "really bothering him" (1 Viewer)

I just think it's pretty hilarious (and obvious wishful thinking on EBF's part) to already be calling it a career. Seriously, the amount of utter crap that floats around this place has gotten out of hand.
It's to the point of being annoying. We got EBF on a campaign of bashing McFadden every chance he gets, We got Fanatic looking silly by ripping Reggie Bush constantly and changing his problems with Bush as he gets proven wrong time after time, We had idiots in the AP injury thread last week with their dancing bananas who owned Chester Taylor and a whole bunch more garbage along these lines. The shark pool is so full of piss my eyes are burning.
Don't forget the return of Ricky spelling the end of RB's career, Ray Rice making McGahee redundant, and Stewart starting the 1st game over DWill. Every year it gets more and more ridiculous. Rotoworld is partly to blame for twisting every negative comment, significant or insignificant, into whatever fits their yearly projections, but people need to do a better job of thinking in terms of the NFL, not fantasy.

People who have been here for less than a year talking about how bad the SP sucks is quality shtick.

I apologize in advance if these details have already been posted:

What is the treatment of turf toe?

Treatment of turf toe consists of trying to control the inflammation of the joint capsule. The most important aspect of treatment is to rest the sore toe to allow the inflammation is subside and the joint capsule to heal. In addition to resting the toe, inflammation can be controlled by icing the area, and elevating the foot, and anti-inflammatory medications.

Athletes diagnosed with turf toe should avoid their sport for about three weeks to allow the joint capsule to heal. Once returning to activities, special footwear inserts can be used to limit the motion of the big toe and prevent further damage to the joint capsule. Ask your doctor to evaluate your feet for possible inserts that can control motion of the inflamed joint.

Will turf toe return?

Unfortunately, turf toe can return, and rehabilitation may be slow. Most athletes have trouble when they try to come back to sports too soon after sustaining a turf toe injury. Surgery is rarely needed for treatment of turf toe, but in certain cases it may be helpful. If a bone spur forms, and severely limits motion of the toe joint, surgery to remove the spur may be helpful.
With the week 5 bye upcoming, I think the week 6 game in New Orleans (on carpet Fieldturf) could reveal a lot regarding his prospects the rest of the way. If McFadden can get ample rest during the bye and can successfully come out of that New Orleans game feeling good, I like his chances going forward because he plays on grass for most of the remainder of the season. But once that bye week is behind him, any re-aggravation would be a major setback because he won't get rest without missing games.

Those aren't people.
My 5 digit number used to be a 3 digit number. Just because the number is higher than yours doesn't mean you've been here longer. My computer crashing, changing my email and forgetting my password might make me dumb, but i've still been here longer. :bag: You're just a 4 digiter anyway, only speak when we ask you to speak. :lmao:

Bashed him until i got him in the 5th round of my PPR, $1000 buy in league. I'll bash anyone for 11G.

so McFadden's status now is a downgrade to Questionable from last week's Probable, and is now considered game-time decision. Anyone willing to wait and start Bush playing the 2nd round of games if McFadden can't go?

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said Friday that Darren McFadden (toe) will be a game-time decision in Week 4 against the Chargers. McFadden has "limited" participation in practice Friday for the second straight day.

McFadden is listed as questionable, which is a downgrade from last week's "probable" tag. Kiffin says the Raiders will "push him and act as if he's fine," but McFadden will need another painkilling injection and may not finish the game. If McFadden is inactive, Michael Bush will make his first NFL start with Justin Griffith backing him up. The teams play at 4:05 ET, so consider safer options if possible and have Bush handy if you're a McFadden owner.

I cant blame EBF for his Mcfadden hate. He has been blasting us with BMI all offseason, as if he has found the cure for cancer. So far it is backfiring in his face. His rookie rankings from a few months ago went very much against the grain based mostly, if not entirely on BMI. Having Ray Rice ahead of Matt Forte, Tashard Choice ahead of Chris Johnson, stating that Steve Slaton will never be a full time back and not even ranking him in the top 24 rookies, due to his size/BMI. Imagine what will happen if his BMI poster boys(Mcfadden/Mendenhall) also blows up in his face? I understand EBF's Mcfadden hate campaign, his credibility is on the line.
lolCmon now EBF knows his stuff. He might fall flat on his face with this theory or (as he's said) need to tweak it (dramatically?) but ya gotta enjoy somebody spending the time and effort to try and find a predictive method of success. Sink or swim with BMI, EBF's OK by me

turf toe regularly returns...itching to say always but...I figure McFadden will have this creep up on him again and again throughout his career.Once you have turf toe, it can get re-aggravated on any surface. I don't think in this case it's much better if McFadden is playing on grass.

Time to rest(like SD afforded Tomlinson) is what it takes. Getting a pro athlete to rest can be quite difficult

Im fine with it, i just feel bad for the people who actually bought into his BMI theory, and took guys like Choice over Chris Johnson.

Because it's completely logical to correlate account creation date with a poster's intelligence, right? I mean, anyone who has created an account within the last three years has to be a complete fool.
