Darren Sproles PPR ranking question (1 Viewer)

i don't think it includes return yardage, or does it(which may make this pretty much moot)?

since he's a pretty awesome returner(main KR and often PR) for the chargers in leagues using returner pts he could/would be quite a few spots higher, right?

the only other 2 above him that i see that do returns are reggie and Leon. Reggie for sure won't be on PR early on with his injuries and could be pulled completely if the saints are serious about needing/using him with his injury history building. same for Leon without the injuries. i think i've read where they want to limit his special teams acivities for a more prominent role on offense

It seems very odd that a RB who was franchised is ranked so low. I see Sproles having a much more prominent role with San Diego this year. I think he has shown what he is capable of and I don't think the Chargers would give him franchise type of money unless they were going to use him more. That being said his ultimate value rests with how you feel about LT. If you still think LT can regain some magic than Sproles value has limited upside and he maybe the type of guy who has some monster weeks...but you'll never know which week it will happen. If you're in the camp that thinks LT is losing it than Sproles is a guy you want to target because he could give you some serious bang for the buck considering where you can probably draft him.

I'm very high on Sproles but understand that owning him means you may have to be patient because it maybe a decent way into the season before you really cash in on him. IMO that will be the key to Sprloes...the ability to sit tight on him and not put yourself into a position where you're really counting on him. Have at least three RBs who are are reliable and than cross your fingers that the Sproles of late last year shows up and gives your team a big time fantasy weapon at some point in 2009.

I drafted Sporoles last year in the 14th round of a dynasty startup. he has paid off bigtime. Gave me some pts midseason when I was weak a RB and then trade him for a 1st round this year, which I traded down to Heyward-Bey and Nate Davis, and a 1st round next year, which should be high since the guy's team is LT-Sproles and that is basically it. Actually hated seeing him go, but see him more as a lightning in a thunder-lightning type backfield for his career. So the trade wentHim - SprolesMe- Heywerd-Bey, Nate Davis, probable 1.01 2010 :bowtie:
