Date for 2007 NFL Draft? (1 Viewer)

Anyone know a confirmed date for next year's draft? Is it the last weekend of April again, or the previous one like it used to be/ Buddy of mine is trying to plan his wedding around it. Does anyone know why they moved it to the last weekend this year?

Dont believe its been set yet.

Id tell your friend to avoid any day in April beginning with a 2 or 3.

I saw somewhere it will be the last weekend in April, the 28th and 29th.

I would have to guess that it would be on April 29/30, 2007.

That would be following the trend which has been set over the last number of years.

2 years ago the draft was on April 24th/25th though...so I'd be careful.I agree with the above poster who said any April date in the teens and any May date would be safe.

Quick story: Got engaged in Nov '04, were planning our wedding for April of this year. Church was available on 4/22 and 4/29, so I tell fiance before she books, I have to call the NFL to find out about the draft. Call the NFL in like Dec '04, talk to somebody who tells me the '06 draft is set for 4/22. So, I tell fiance to book the church for the 29th. Well, next thing I know, draft hype starts and I see the draft is on 4/29. Needless to say, I got to see about 15-16 picks of the 1st rd. Got an update on the Bears pick at the reception

This year, remember, they switched where the draft was held so that may have affected the dates too. I'd just tell him to get married in may, why the insistence on april anyway? it's rainy then
