She is getting ready to release her debut EP. Here is the first song.

She wrote the lyrics, music and plays piano on this song. She also engineered and produced it.

All of the above is really impressive!

It's great that she's pursuing her dreams.

The bad

Awkward flow to the song. Piano doesn't stand out, its more background noise adding nothing. Lyrics are a cliche.

The good

LOVE LOVE her voice. Also, she is obviously driven to do all of this on her own and she can improve dramatically with that kind of drive. I think she could learn a lot from listening to bruce springsteen songs to fix that awkward flow. As far as the lyrics being terrible, she can learn a lot about song writing from listening to leonard cohen songs (greatest song writer of all time)

I give her a 7 out of 10 when grading on professional level with potential to grow

Ten Things I Hate About You and all that, right?

On a personal note, my ex-girlfriend, who was way into that stuff, made me a mix once. So many good songs, so much #### from friends. She was a bit surprised when I became a huge Fiona Apple fan years later. When The Pawn Hits...

In all seriousness, big ups to Mr. Pack's daughter for putting herself out there like that.

 
Why isn't she in a band? She is talented but isn't going anywhere with a single like that. (Assuming fame is a goal.)

 
Came in thinking this was going to be awful autovoice, heavily laden sythn crap but this is good stuff (and I'm an old guy).

The music business is tough but best of luck to her.

 
wow. Really like it. I'm assuming to get "big" she'd have to turn that song into some overproduced pop that drives me nuts. As it is, I love the song. Got a Tori Amos vibe.

She is. But with college coming to an end, they've played their last gig.

Looks like she'll be moving to Nashville in July or August.

She loves and wants to sing, but Engineering Music is her back up plan.

She decided on a Jazzish/popish genre with more emphasis on Jazz. A couple of her other songs are a bit more peppy, and have a little popish undertones.

I can hear the influence of one her favorites "Evanescence" in her some of songs.

Very cool, and what a great accomplishment. You should be very, very proud. And that Slowly song in particular is unique with a really interesting arrangement. Good stuff!

 
As a former musician that took a bad beat , I hate everyone in music and feel jipped.

But she is really good. Best of luck to her.

I don't handle this stuff for my band, but I'm pretty sure we use Tunecore for all our digital distribution. It's a distribution service that allows you to upload to iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, Spotify, etc.

 
Didn't listen to it yet, but congrats. It's nice to have a child you can be proud of. Best of luck to her. I hope her career turns out to be all she wished for.

I was somewhere in that maze. Seems like Tunecore, or CD Baby are the best routs.

Thanks. Tunecore and CD Baby are the ones I found. Going to look into them next week.
