I've just been monitoring his production in the first few preseason games (for what they're worth) and have noticed that he has been doing fairly well. Is he guaranteed a starting spot come Week 1 or is he still in a battle with Barton? Also, I'm not completely up on which LB positions rack up the most tackles, so if he does start, will he be a viable fantasy option?

Barton has apparently had a very good offseason after a poor second half that had the Jets shopping him this offseason. He looks to be comfortably ahead to start. Harris could rotate in now and then but hasn't gotten any time in rotation with the ones in the preseason games. It's my opinion after looking at the stats that Harris' likely position (LILB) is the favored position in the scheme, but the data is limited. I think he would have LB3 value as an every down starter with Andra Davis like upside.

Harris has indeed loked good, but he isn't going to be a "starter" anytime soon, barring an injury. Aside from that, the Jets are showing a lot more 4-3 this year. It's possible that Harris will replace Vilma somewhere down the road, as he has only this and next year remaining on his contract. Harris will get rotated in for sure, but is a better dynasty prospect at this point.

he's leading the jets in tackles, but it's only one ahead of barton. it looks like they are the best two lb's on their roster.

i'd hate to drop him for someone else, but i know as soon as i do he'll go off and everyone else will know about him then.

i'm sure vilma and barton have played the same amount of snaps too as the rookie.
