12 team deep it's obvious you take him. What about 10 team short bench? What situation would you pass or pick up?

I'd pick him up only if it were dynasty or if you had a piece of garbage on your team or were doing something dumb like carrying 3 TE's or 3 QB's, etc. My guess is they'll be out of contention when he is ready to go off IR so there won't be any need to rush him back so they will leave him on IR to fully recover for next year.
