James Hall musta been a real piece of work for the Lions to decide Kalimba Edwards and Jared DeVries looked good enough atop their starting depth chart. If the Lions can't get Patrick Kerney or Dewayne White to sign, a decent rush end at the top of the second or third round of this draft may provide some nice IDP value.

Yep, and I wouldn't be surprised to see either Jamaal Anderson (in the 1st) or Anthony Spencer (2nd) in Detroit. White would be a good signing and he's familiar with the system. Hall is a decent DE, not elite, but consistently good. He'll be ahead of Adeyanju.
Lions are having a great offseason. They were done with Hall, but got a 5th for him instead of just dumping him. They got White, who was one of their main targets. They dumped Bly, who didn't fit in their scheme, and filled two holes plus got a slight draft upgrade - that was an awesome trade. They're freeing themselves up to trade down if Russell's gone by their pick, since they don't have a huge hole they must fill at the 2nd pick.I'm pretty impressed.
