Decision Confirmed: University of South Florida (1 Viewer)

What's the O/U on how many of those credits a Florida or out of state school would accept?

I would set it at 12.5 and bet the under.

Question 3, my GPA is about 3.0, would this qualify me for any merit based scholarship? What other scholarships are available and what are the deadlines for them?
So this means like 2.85....right?

Don't ever change Em. Best fishing trip since "Jerry Rice: Not a hall of famer"

I got 11 worthy of transfer. If I'm an admissions officer, that's all I'd accept. Most of that is just crap.

Question 2, are there any deadlines that I should know about that would effect my enrollment in your University for the Fall Semester in 2015?
Question 3, my GPA is about 3.0, would this qualify me for any merit based scholarship? What other scholarships are available and what are the deadlines for them?
Thank you for your time."
I am guessing none of those crossed out will transfer, and you will not get full credit for many of the others. They will probably spit coffee on their keyboard as they read Question 2.

ETA: I would put the O/U for semester hours which they give you credit for at 36 hours, or basically your Freshman year plus a partial semester.

I think question 3 is the best.

Biggest issue i see is that is that I think these are quarter hours. Most schools that are using a semester system are going to look at these as less the 3 hour classes. Almost every class I took in was a 3 hour class. Fingers crossed for you Em.

It's accredited. It actually doesn't have a terrible reputation in Michigan. Their known as a career skills school. People from Michigan know what Baker is when I mention it. It's been around since 1918.
Evidently those career skills do not include grammar.

They are on quarters, so he will be getting 2 or 3 credit hours at most for his 4 credit courses.

Don't sell yourself short. Emailing a person at an actual university and asking "is there an admissions deadline I need to know about?" when googling those words plus the name of the school would probably land you on that date within seven seconds...that's a strong move.

The best will be when all these schools respond to question 2 in the same way: "No, there's not an admissions deadline you need to know about..."

You're right; he'll be lucky to get in to Southern New Hampshire University.

3.0 and you are asking for a merit based scholarship :lmao: ? You have to be kidding....any idea if yoru juco is accredited? You may actually have 5-10 classes that will transfer. You will at least start as a sophmore or so...

This is silly, I got into every school I applied to coming out of high school. You guys are just being ridiculously mean spirited. :P

Those nitpicking my spelling and grammar need to buzz off as well. I was high posting all this last night and don't get graded on my posts here, lol.

just out of curiosity where did you apply? Was you Gpa just below 3.0 then as well? You really need to work on that. Most people I interview are in the mid to upper 3's. Of those I hire maybe 10% and I am in a very competitive market (San fran).

Or at least that's what they tell you.

Here's the curriculum sheet for a Bachelors in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. I see a lot of classes that should transfer nicely from my transcript.http://www.business.fau.edu/undergraduate/majors/accounting/download.aspx?id=1250
Doubtful at best. And I don't think you could pass half those classes or complete that major. Unless you are on the six year track, in which case, its still going to be close.
I think you're forgetting that I'm the man.

This is for FGCU my #1 school.

General Guidelines for Awarding Transfer Credit:

Credit is not given for technical, vocational, physical education or pre-college courses, or for courses completed below a grade of D-.

Transfer credits will not be computed into a students FGCU institutional grade point average but are included in the overall grade point average.

If credits are in quarter hours, they will be converted to semester hours by multiplying the quarter hours by .67. As an example, a four quarter hour course will only be awarded 2.67 semester credits.

At least 25 percent of coursework for the degree must be earned at FGCU. Thirty (30) of the last 60 hours must be earned at FGCU to receive a baccalaureate degree from FGCU.

Credit by departmental examination from another institution will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Credits awarded by another institution solely on the basis of SAT or ACT scores will not be accepted by FGCU.

Accreditation status and evaluation of credits from an institution outside of the U.S. must be made by an international credential evaluation agency with associated costs to be paid by the student. University-level coursework undertaken abroad may be transferrable if earned at a recognized institution depending on academic equivalency. Course transferability is determined on a course-by-course basis. All transfer credit evaluations are completed after admission to the University as a degree-seeking student and prior to the students orientation. Only official transcripts will be articulated. Click this link for information on international evaluation services.

An equivalent FGCU course number will be entered on the student's official academic transcript.

Lack of intelligence or lack of work ethic?

Will Walgreens transfer your employment to another state? You don't want to start from the bottom again.
I got my Associates to get a better job. :)
Most people work ####ty jobs in college

I was a caddy, waiter, and bartender.
Right, but I really need to move out of my parents house or I might never see a ##### ever again.
##### is the least of your concerns at the moment.

Yes, but the idea was that an Associates might get me into somewhere that would promote me once I got my Bachelors.

An internship? Those typically don't pay (a few do) until you're hired as an actual employee...
