Defense Combos/Team By Committee (DTBC) for 2007 (1 Viewer)

I am getting ready to publish the updated 2007 Defense Teams By Committee (DTBC), but in order to do this I need to first "rank" the potential offensive strength of each of the 32 NFL teams.

I would like your assistance in this, so could you send me an e-mail (robbaustin@comcast.net) or post on this thread your ranking of each team on a 1-10 scale, with 10 being the most powerful offense in 2007. I usually see more teams ranked in the 4-5-6 range with about 1 to 2 teams ranked as a 10 and 1, with 2-3 teams as a 9 and 2, etc. I will then average all the projections and post the DTBC this weekend.

Thanks for your input as I strive to make this the best tool for DTBC as possible.

There is the dump of my projections, and they are sorted by total yards.

Some interesting observations:

1. Teams with poor defenses get a lot of offensive yards (St. Louis, Detroit, Cincinnati...)

2. Aside from the top teams, there is really very little separation.

Probably one thing that needs to be taken into account for the defense by committee is sacks and turnovers allowed. I probably have these numbers if anyone found them of interest. I know I will at least take turnovers into account when I think about defenses by committee.
