need some help with defensive scoring in our league, currently they just don't hold enough value.our current scoring system is 1 pts for a sack, interception, fumble recovery...2pt for safety, and then 8,6,4,2 pts for points allowed ranges from 0, 1-9, 10-19, 20-29just need some suggestions.

We have positive points for strong rushing, passing and total yards against (and negative for bad).We have negative points at 31+ PA.We give five points for a safety (I think excessive - four is prob. the right number, 2 pts for the safety itself and 2 pts for a turnover since the safetied team has to kick off).

what yardage level do you set for rushing/passing/total.

Up to 10 pts for yards allowed ( < 200), can turn negative if > 450Up to 10 pts for pts allowed (0), can turn negative if > 302 pts saftety2 pts turnover1 pt sack6 pts D/ST TDs2 pts of TD > 50 yardsExclude pts given up off turnovers.This system will allow to D's to score as heavily as any other position. IMO, this should the intent.

The top defensive team in our league ranks in the top 5 every year in total scoring. A mediocre team would rank in the top 50.
