Don't give me any credit on this, it was posted by somebody else on another board, but it did make me think.
Interesting article isn't it? It almost sounds a little skewed to Quinn. Well, I copied this article word for word from ESPN, but I changed the names of the 2 QB's and fixed their stats. Want to see who the original article was about?http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2750640Brady Quinn entered his senior season at Notre Dame as the consensus top pick for the upcoming NFL draft. Quinn did little to disappoint, throwing for 3,426 yards and 37 touchdowns, compared to 7 interceptions. What nobody counted on was the emergence of LSU junior quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
Russell passed for 3,129 yards and 28 touchdowns, compared to 8 interceptions, leading to the Tigers to their first trip to the Sugar Bowl in 3 years. Not surprisingly, he decided to forego his senior year and turn professional, sparking feverish debate about whether Quinn or Russell should be selected first.
Quinn was viewed as the conservative choice, while Russell, who had a considerably stronger arm, actually was thought to have the bigger upside.
