Delayed notifications from MFL.com (1 Viewer)

I've noticed over the past week that my email notifications in both of my dynasty leagues with MFL.com are often delayed by as much as 2-3 days. No, this isn't a spam problem either as they're hitting my Inbox (Yahoo account, FWIW). For example I got a trade offer a full 36 hours after it was sent.

What's particularly odd is that it's sporadic. In one league, for example, on a given day I'll get the daily player news reports right on time, and in the other league the report will get to me two days late.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, very much so.

A buddy and me were having some trade talks Sunday, and the offers and rejections took until late Tuesday night to hit our email boxes. This is happening in both of my MFL leagues.

yep - it seems to be going around...

there was another thread about this last week -- someone suggested that it's a yahoo problem, and not a mfl problem. the theory is that yahoo has spam filters that catch the emails from mfl *before* they get to your personal spam filter. in other words, you never see it until it works its way through yahoo's internal spam filter, and *then* it's delivered to your inbox. i don't know how it works (or if this theory is accurate), but mfl is apparently identified by yahoo as a potential spammer due to the high volume of emails it sends this time of year.

Actually it most likely is a spam problem. There is another thread on this already. Yahoo hasn't gotten their spam filter sorted out to allow MFL without the mail being bounced back and forth for awhile before Yahoo accepts it and delivers it to you. This has been an ongoing problem for Yahoo's filter when it comes to MFL.Try making a gmail account and have both as your email destination and I think you'll find the mails arrive right on time to gmail but not to yahoo.

I am in 6 MFL leagues, my 2 main leagues go to Gmal and the others to Yahoo. It definitely seems like a Yahoo issue.

No problems with messages to Gmail, but right now I can't get to my league website and we have auctions ending soon

been a few threads on this here already. definitely looks like a yahoo issue to me. once I changed to a gmail account I started getting the emails right away. not sure what made it start happening this year after years with no issues.

Come on dh, you're better than this. You know it.I'm not having a problem (I don't use Yahoo email,) but it is clearly a problem for those that use their Yahoo email account for their email updates from MFL. It's a simple matter of changing your email notification on MFL to a non-Yahoo email account. Why this year is different from previous years is probably a change in settings from Yahoo's email server perspective, not something any Yahoo email account user is doing.

using gmail. rejected a trade and the notification email was in my inbox before I could click on the window.
