Delhomme...QB2 at best? Who you starting over him regularly? (1 Viewer)

Delhomme has been a big disappointment. I picked him up for a QBBC tandem, and he has been horrible, esp the last two weeks.

I know CAR is a run first team...but seriously, not even 200 yards and 2 TDs?

Anyone following the CAR games have any insight?

I traded Lance Moore for him 2 weeks ago to be my QB after Schaub got hurt. Figured hed at least be good against OAK & DET. Anyway, two weeks later and Im ready to drop him. Hes looked horrible the last 2 weeks. Floating balls all over the place. It wouldnt surprise me if hes hurt.

Thankful Romo is back. Delhomme actually outscored Romo tonight, but Romo's my starter (obviously).

Delhomme did have a horrible game against Oakland, but the OL were no help in that game. In the Oakland game two OL had rejoined the team after being out for several games, so I think the line was trying to gel again. He was constantly pressured, and a couple of the picks weren't his fault. Overall he did have a terrible game against Oakland, but a bad game happens to every QB. Yesterday he was rushed again behind the line, but then the line started doing better. He overthrew several throws, and a couple were dropped, but he had no turnovers, and he really didn't have to throw much against Detroit. Williams and Stewart were running all over them, so they kept it on the ground a lot. He needs to play better than he has the last two games, but he has played well for most of the season thus far.

So, I assumed that the OAK game probably had some tipped balls and Asomugha shut down SSmiff just like he has (and will) every other great WR. I also assumed that the DET game was in hand. What about his fantasy prospects? I picked up Thigpen a few weeks back and also have Orton coming back from injury (although yesterday he was bad vs. GB's very good pass D).So, what other QBs would you start ahead of Delhomme? Delhomme is @ATL, who didn't allow Cutler a very good game week 11. I would probably start Orton @STL or Thigpen at home vBUF over him.Any others? Delhomme also has TB, DEN, and @NYG for the Fantasy Playoffs. I don't like the TB or @NYG game. DEN might be ok.

I picked up Thigpen last week. Should have played him this week, but I figured the Detroit matchup would be Jake's best chance for a nice game. If he's not putting up even average numbers against Detroit, I don't like his chances the rest of the way. I'm rolling with Thigpen going forward as I struggle for my playoff life. I can't keep having Delhomme putting up single digit scores like he's been prone to this year.

Good info here.
The thread is titled "Delhomme...QB2 at best? Who you starting over him regularly?"What did you expect? A Delhomme bunion analysis from a guy who's brother-in-law is a practicing orthopedist??

Bunion analysis? Is that an inside joke or just a poor attempt?Although, on 2nd thought, that post is about exactly what I expect of this place lately. I just don't really think this thread needs all the Romo & Brees & Warner owners to stop in and say they're starting their unbenchable QBs over Delhomme.

His remaining schedule: maybe the DEN game is a spot start? @GB, TB, DEN, @NYG

The rush TD helped give him a pretty good game ...otherwise he'd be around 10 points, in the ball park of Thigpen and Sh Hill, who didn't have 'great' matchups.

I am still worried, though.

Week 12: using a conservative 4 points/pass TD, 6 points rush TD, 1 point for 50 pass yards, -2 for int

16.80 Delhomme @ATL: 21/35, 295, 1 TD, 1 rush TD

12.25 Thigpen vBUF: 17/31, 240, 3 TD, 2 int

12.06 Sh Hill vDAL: 21/33, 303, 2 TD, 1int

7.25 Garthia @DET: 13/18, 165, 2 TD

6.73 Orton @STL: 18/29, 139, 1 TD

5.76 Ry Fitzpatrick @PIT: 20/37, 168 yds, 1 TD, 1 int

5.50 Rosenfels vCLE: 24/32, 275, 1 TD, 2 int

did better than Warner in one of my leagues. I've been on the cusp of dropping him for the past 3 weeks.
