Delhomme's Prospects? (1 Viewer)

Looking at the projections for this week Jake Delhomme settles in about mid-pack. I figured he would be a bit higher this week given that he has looked ok thus far, is getting his number one wr back in Smith, and facing a very weak passing defense in the Minnesota Vikings. I realize there is not a huge difference than the several guys before him, but I just figured he would be higher. What are your thoughts this week for Delhomme? Moving forward?

@Minny - 191/0

Atlanta - 294/2

KC - 236/2/1

@Tampa Bay - 242/0/3

NO - 195/2

Arizona - 248/2

@Atlanta

I believe Delhomme could be a sleeper candidate this year - given some of the favorable matchups he has ahead of him. Admittedly the playoffs look less enticing - 13. @ GB 14. Tampa 15. Denver 16. @NYG - but it might be enough for people that are in need of a QB to take notice and help themselves out.

ETA: Figured I'd ride this and see where it goes. Red means below average, green means above.

Any thoughts on Delhomme vs Schaub the rest of the way? Their sched is similar in a lot of ways, pretty easy looking until the playoffs.

I like Jake's schedule, supporting cast, durability, talent and pedigree better.Other than that I like Schaub.

I like Schaub's coach, gameplan, talent, weaker defense, no running game better.Other than that, I like Delhomme.I actually own both, in a start 2 QB league. I have Trent Edwards to plug in for bad matchups. I did that last week for Schaub. Mistake No. 1. Do I do it again against Indy?

Bimp for week 6. Didn't see the game but the stats indicate it was a poor game for Jake and the Panthers.
Two of Delhomme's interceptions weren't his fault. They were deflected off his receivers. He also threw a beautiful pass to a wide open Steve Smith, and Smith dropped it. It would have been a TD. There were a few drops today. The Panthers had a poor showing in general, but Delhomme wasn't as bad as his stats show.

Thanks for the info :goodposting:

He did not have many yards this week but still put up numbers that were good for 6th in my league (.25/pt, 4pt TD, -1 INT) with Cassel and Cutler to play. Even winding up 8th makes for a decent start this week. He heads into AZ before the bye.

He looks to be a decent option for those that have held onto him this long - QB15 in my league - and he has some good match ups coming up. I'm not starting him but I am trying to shop him, might be easier after the next few games, for those that are still able to trade.
